Thanks, lt. A perfect example of taste decisions, I prefer v2.2 over the original, it sounds more like the Rhodes I used to own, a Dyno custom job. But I'm using LL3 now, because I have more control, and can tweak to my heart's content (But I think I actually still prefer the sound of MrRay 2.2 - go figure  )

I've been using Lounge Lizard layered with NI Elektrik Piano, with the Lizard a bit higher in the mix. The Lizard gives all of the dynamics and expression to the sound, which NI seems to lack, while the NI makes the Lizard's slightly thinner sound a bit fatter and warmer. The inevitable slight chorusing is not a real problem on the Rhodes. I'm looking forward to trying something similar with Mr. Ray as soon as I get it installed.

Just installed VB3 on my Receptor. Farhan's installer worked without a hitch, although I was surprised that it re-started my Receptor.

First Impressions: VB3 has a much warmer and smoother distortion than B4. B4's distortion is a bit thin and edgy for my taste. The chorus effect is more pronounced and the leslie sounds quite different, with more of a pronounced chorusing to it. In general, B4 sounds clearer and more edgy, while VB3 is smoother and warmer. From my first listen through my home studio's monitors, I think I may tend to favor VB3 for distorted rock sounds. I won't know for sure until after a couple gigs.

However, one thing that is already very clear is that getting VB3, Mr. Ray and GS201 for 89 Euros is a fantastic deal, even with our anemic dollars. Can't imagine why anybody wouldn't grab it.

I just installed VB3, no problems at all. I have an "old" NI B4D drawbar controller which is mapped perfectly for the VB3, and with the midi "learn" function it's really easy to control it from any synth. To me, the VB3 sounds at least as good as my Nord Stage, perhaps even better. I'm used to dragging a C1 and as Leslie to gigs, but for the smaller venues I'll bring the Receptor with VB3 instead.

If you have a Receptor and the slightest interest in organ tones, the VB3 is a must-have, Guido has done an OUTSTANDING job and the Receptor really delivers. Not a hiccup, although I've been torturing it with Scarbee samples and the VB3. Bravo bravissimo!!!
