Guitar Rig 3 used live with Receptor

Anybody have any feedback on using guitar-rig on receptor to process a guitar... live? I've been toying with the idea of using it live instead of my normal (and dedicated guitar processor... the line 6 rack pod)...
I'm still a bit jittery at the thought of running my guitar through receptor/guitar rig live (old ways of thinking I guess), so if anybody has some live experience using Guitar Rig 3 live please let me know. Outside of obvious things like crashes, I'd like to know how it responds to patch changes and loading it with controls and effects etc... does it misbehave etc?
I actually have GR2 right now and am thinking of getting 3 for live use... but a bit of feedback before I throw in the $$ is much appreciated.... Thanks...

I have used it live, very cool, can do very unique sounds. Set Receptor to ignore bank select and target source also select route CC directly to the plugin from Receptors SETUP window. The Guitar Rig 3 learn CC feature also works.

Rick:
What floor pedal do you use to control Guitar Rig 3 on Receptor?
Thanks.

Support for the Guitar Rig Hardware pedal and possibly more importantly the IK MultiMedia Stomp I/O would be a very nice addition. It doesn't necessarily have to use the hardware's audio interface (although that would be good) but at least the control features...

how is it for scrolling through patches? guitar rig 1 is kinda clunky when you change patches, i'd need to change them smoothly, and without any clicks or audio drops. is guitar rig run on receptor there yet?MaxReverb wrote:I have used it live, very cool, can do very unique sounds. also, max, do you work for muse reasearch/receptor?

My wife and I have used Guitar Rig 2 on Receptor with decent success. I find getting your favorite patches all keyed up ahead of a gig is great, so you don't have to worry about getting too lost in the menu/front panel.
We like the idea of being able to run a guitar through it, while I play the synths, at the same time. I think our only concern would be the random crash, but to be honest, since the latest 1.7 OS was released, we have not seen that in a quite awhile.
Besides, we keep a Line6 Pod XT Live handy in case of emergencies, and I keep a kazoo in my pocket in case my synths stopped working entirely.
Cheers!

Thanks to one and all for the input... as stated above, there is one nagging question... patch changes.... How are the patch changes, as well as any automation put in via midi. Does it respond for example like the line 6 Pod? Obviously for live I'd like to go to 64 smpl buffer. On my PC when I run GR2 I feel a certain lag... but that's probably 'cause I run it within my DAW and so forth.
