Hello everybody! Can anybody explain me, how i can use FXP presets for au plugs (for example .fxp preset for Surge) in logic 8?

Post

The best way is to use u-he software only - such as Zebra, MFM and Filterscape. These plugins have built-in preset loaders which handle .fxp on any platform!

I would never use anything else (and of course, nothing else is expected to be recommended in my company forum :hihi: )

Cheers,

;) Urs

Can't talk now - still too busy playing with this truly astonishing synth. But just to say I'm totally amazed that I can put .h2p, .fxp, and .aupreset files into a single folder and Zebra 2 will read 'em all transparently. That's unprecedented AFAIK.

Kind regards.

Hmm, Is this really true? I'm a newb with Z. but I went to save my first patch and it chose to save as an aupreset and then z. froze. I dumped my saved au patch and all is well.

Now however I'm a little nervous about saving, which of course, is a very bad thing. Maybe this freeze was a coincidence however, but it's apretty big one since clearing the patch cleared the problem.

Xebra 2.2, OS 10.4.9. Logic 8.02 etc.

thx,
Michael

PS this is my 1st post, hi y'all. Zebra smokes!

edit: OK I just hit save on the interface, cancelled the operation........ and it still froze. So nothing to do with au or fxp or whatever. I can manually drag a preset into the right folder and it'll see it and work perfectly but I can't see any way to save the patch from the interface outside of that "save" button next to the the main preset window.

deeper...... it will freeze every time when hitting save, whether I cancel or not. If I close the window and re-open I regain full functionality. BTW I realize I've been using it in DP 4.6.1 today, not Logic. and yes! I can save from the drop down so maybe it's a non issue after all. Still, it's odd I think.

Hey urs, thanks for such a great instrument.
