Hi Lennard,
first of all - great work! But it seems that I found a small bug: program change buttons on my midi keyboard only work on bank1. When I switch to bank 2, 3 or 4 the buttons don't work or Sylenth1 will unexpectedly jump back to bank1.

Can somebody confirm this?

I think this is something to do with your master keyboards program change.

My EX5 has two internal banks of 128 each and two preset bankc of 128 each but any bank i'm in only controls the the 1st bank of sylenth.

I do not know if this is a bug or a feature, when I move controls the rest of FL's GUI freezes until I let go of the control.

Yes i can confirm that mine does too.Fruity keeps on going but as AM says the GUI just freezes until you let go of the control.

Sounds similar to the issue I have in Live7, allthough it doesn't happen every time I grab a control.. only happened a handful of times so far.

Same here - the program change wheel and buttons on my UF7 only sends the values of 0 to 127 so I can only access the first 127 presets using it. I just use the computer keyboard up and down arrows to change presets instead.

I bet Lennard can't wait to finally get the "Made With Synthedit" off of his Sylenth1 page here on KVR. It's well deserved.

I love that '!' after 'No' But yeah, good for him, this whole SE thing must have caused him quite some headaches ...

Great sounding synth Lennard! Thanks for bringing it to Mac (hopefully AU soon). So far the vst has been flawless in Live 7, OSX 10.5.4.

No disrespect to synthedit intended but i have never heard a SE Synth sound like Sylenth.

That's because Synthedit was used just to make the GUI for old version. It's completely removed now. It has to be to run on Mac since Synthedit stuff is only for Windows.

Yes i know synth edit was used for the GUI only, so what i was saying was how people could think it was Synthedit creation is beyond me.

Confirmed here in Cubase, trying to select 'phaser freq' as mod destination just makes it show up as 'MIX AB' instead of phaser frequency.

That's true. The surprised editors of Germany's Sounds & Recording mag came to the conclusion that the Mac mini (!) is as fast as the last Dual G5 Power Macs.

Yeah, I'm a bit disappointed as well. I've got a quad G5 that does pretty well for itself and I'm not at all interested in upgrading.

If you read Ars Technica you know that those vector processing addons in desktop CPUs are very specific. That means that it is a lot of extra work to port those acceleration features to Altivec (that's what it is called in the Power PC CPUs produced by IBM and Motorola).

Even when Apple still produced PPC-based Macs many developers decided it did not make sense for them economically to support Altivec.
The PPC is a completely different animal. A port would take considerable time while the number of PPC-Macs in use will continue to srink.
The dissapoointment is understandable but Power-Mac-users will face more dissapointments with Mac OS X 10.6 probably not being PPC-compatible (that is not confirmed yet) and more and more applications aswell.

But as time goes by Intel Macs are becoming so much faster that upgrading the hardware becomes more and more interesting especially since Apple's prices are not much above those of other PC manufacturers any longer since the switch to Intel.
Therefore your next investment in a Mac will probably mean more bang for the buck.
So prograss is not just a bad thing.
