Using the Edit>Preferences to set the external Audio Editor doesn't seem to work. It remembers the folder, but not the exe.

When you right click on an Audio part, the only editor available is the internal one - Audio Lab.
The external audio editor is only accessible via the audio lab.

So first go to the audio lab, then right-click and you'll find your preferred audio editor there.

I'm noticing that when you click on a part it defaults to a very tiny zoom (too small for me anyway). I wondered if there's any way I can fix this by altering one of the .txt files?

edit: Fixed this by dragging the main window bigger :dog:

I'm thinking to remove the possibility to embed plug editors in the MPA.

The plug editor is always quickly accessible by double-clicking the plug box.

Embedding plug editors complicates things, both on user level as on technical level.

I think the win is not greater than loss, and so i'm thinking of removing it.

What do you think? Are you guys using that feature?

On second thoughts, I still get the impression that the MU.LAB GUI is kind of elastic and pushy-and-shovy from startup to startup. Something about the windows constantly competing for space.

:)

Sounds like a good plan to me Jo!
I personally wasn't keen on it, especially because of the screen real estate it gobbled up. I think you should keep "embed racks" though...

Bonte, what do you exactly mean?

I'm not sure i understand your point.

Jo - I think I just created two metronome modules in the MPA and I don't know how it happened ... :-o

I just clicked in the MPA.

Embedding racks would also go away in such case as it's about the 'embedding' feature.

All racks are always available in the Rack Desk, and via a double-click on a rack box in the MPA.

I don't think it's anything really - I just needed to max out the window and save as "new" and it appears to be cool every time now! :D

MU.LAB's GUI has a way of collapsing like a frame-style website if you cchange its size, so it can be a little confusing at first.

But as I said, I made it as big as it goes now and everything seems to be O.K.

The metronome bug (if it's a bug) can be repeated:

-Create a multisampla instance

-load a preset

-click in the upper left corner of the MPA

-a module named "metronome 3“ (4,5,6 ... etc ) appears.

Repeating the steps spawns more etronomes still.

I just tried Vertigo in MU.LAB and it works fine.

Maybe cause i just scanned it individually?

Anyone else having probs with Vertigo in MU.LAB?

Nice synth by the way.

update: MPA just created 5 metronomes in one go because I connected Multisampla with a rack... :-o

Can you please send me a screenshot of this.

And eventually the musession file.

Can you handle Quicktime? I can make an avi if need be. It's not a screen movie but my camera.

session file soonish!

ignore the bit at the end when I pull another connection out of Multisampla, it's after the fact and means nothing.

Had I opened Multisampla again, clicked on Basic Drumkit again and then clicked the conector again, another metronome would have appeared in that same spot ad infinitum...
