Hi Jazzyspoon,
nice job indeed, your singing fits in and adds up! i liked (and still like) the instrumental version, but this one is very nice too. Looking forward to more musical coop between the two of you.
Will keep this one in my playlist, thanks!

Nah, I didn't think you were refering to me. I'd die before I wore a cardigan.folderol wrote:But.. but..clueless wrote:i never said it did!folderol wrote:That's where I would have stoppedclueless wrote:it's hard to explain.
runny, don't worry. The description does NOT apply to you
Hey I never said... you said...
Rats! Shall we start again
But... but... it does apply to me more than I'm comfortable with. I sing bjork and portishead songs all the time, in public, even at work, or sing along to female opera parts... and sing extemporaneous "meowing songs" to old ladies and do little dances for them...
but "bobo" - are you f-in' kidding me? I'd slap the shit out of some emo poser that said that in my vicinity
um, sorry for the severe hijacking guys
it's nice to hear mr. brit-goth's vocals on another poly track
I've written like 30 vocals for 3am and poly and blort and, back when, techbot songs now! Just don't have a place I can caterwaul without pissing off roommates, really

Thanks for all the great responses here. Clueless, I'm on vacation at the moment (be back in the music mode in a week or so), but if you have something you like me to try some vox over, please feel free to pm it to me and I'll do my best to summon something.
I am so completely happy to not have 'twee'd' Poly's track.
Runny, my room mates have finally invested in Hearo's ear plugs.

I sing loud. Very, very loud. Cuz I can sing high, but I'm a huge man so it takes a lot of oomph. Plus I don't really know or for that matter see them.
Enjoy your vacation and get the hell offline and see the world, you toe-nibbling raver.

very relaxing and pleasant sound. good mix, really good sound. those synths a little to the right are great.
right about the middle where the vocal line goes deeper, you add some reverb that really sounds good. Right there your voice sounds marvelous.
the first time that does that, where it winds up saying '... in the garden I am saved' I thought sounded weaker than the rest, not horribly, but, it seems like almost out of your range there, which is disproven later.
But, the track worked like a valium on me, and I need that sort of anodyne thing today. thank you.

Nice, your voice fits the tune so well. I can only agree with what others say, it seems like it was always there. I wish my voice would fit like that to my songs, but for now I'll stay vocoders.

no hurry. half (!) of my keyboards are in for repair, my mixer's dead (its replacement should be arriving in a couple of days) and i'm waiting for my new (old RME multiface) interface to arrive. it'll be a while before i'm back up and running again.

I apparently come off as sounding British occasionally when I sing. I honestly don't hear it or do it intentionally, but I don't find it insulting either.clueless wrote:que?jancivil wrote:Oh yeah, I forgot, it doesn't sound British, a real plus.
thank you all for listening (a few of you I haven't seen on one of my posts in ages) and now I must get back to my vacation.
