Hey, I saw a few posts talking about the lack of deep bass in Sylenth, so I just uploaded a new bass patch that I programed. Enjoy!

Do you have the latest version, 2.0? I Think the patches are forward compatible, but not backward compatible, however I could be wrong and it might be a bug. I created the patch with the Mac version.

Hi, I checked the presets and found a small bug in Sylenth1 that can make mac presets not readable by windows versions, which seems to have happened in your case. Will fix it soon!

Version 2.0 presets are only forward compatible by the way, so you can't load v2.0 presets in Sylenth1 v1.21 for example.

Thanks yep i'm on a mac i guess he's on a pc, thanks for the hard work

Guess I'll have to wait, then, since I'm using Windoze :)

I think maybe we should have a thread where we can post our Sylenth patches.. might be fun. I'm not as good as some of the people releasing payware patch banks, but I've managed to create (partially by accident :p) some rather nice sounds.

BTW, how does copyright work with Sylenth patches? I assume that if you take a patch from a commercial sound set and modify it, you're not allowed to upload it? That counts as derivative work, doesn't it? Is it OK to distribute your own patches if they are based off the included factory presets? Or can you only distribute your patches if you started with the blank preset?

Yes, in that case you'll have to ask the creator of the original presets if it's ok to release them.

Sure, as long as you are offering them for free. But presets with just a few changes probably won't be that interesting though ;)

I see.. Yeah I can understand that.. :) But sometimes I start with one of the factory presets, but over time as I keep tweaking it to fit with a particular song, it changes into something completely different from the original preset.

Btw, the presets in v2 are awesome. Or is it the synth? Can't tell. :)

Post

It's both, but more so the awesomeness of the synth. :)

Yeah, it's both :) It's hard to *not* make Sylenth sound good but the presets really show off the capabilities, too.

Nice brass patches BTW :)
