Hello,

recently i realized that i have nearly every possible sound for Sylenth1 but no classical Synth Brass Patches.
Today i started to transfer the legendary "Jump" Oberheim sound. I have the patch on my Sonicprojects OP-X Pro (OB-X emulation). I transfered the values nearly 1:1 to Sylenth1. The result blows me away !! Sounds better than the OP-X Pro !! :D I was not able to reproduce the sound on my Virus TI. The Brass sounds on my TI are good but do not fit to the original patch.

I will try to reproduce more Synth Brass patches in Sylenth1, maybe some Prophet or Jupiter Patches.
Does anyone else have some synth brass patches for Sylenth1 ??

I added a zip file with 8 Synth Brass patches to the Banks & Patches section. The name is "IW Sylenth1 Synth Brass 1". :)

PS: For all the people who complain about the features of Sylenth. It can not produce every possible sound but what it is able to do is mostly perfect !! :borg:

Hello,

thanks for your nice comment. :) I plan to do a whole bank of polysynth/brass patches. Let's see when i get it done. At a certain number of patches it's difficult to program new or different ones.

I made an update of the 8 patches including some modwheel and aftertouch modulation. I will publish this when i have a few more patches.

These sounds are just fantastic! Thanks so much for sharing :D

I've had Sylenth for a while now and it never ceases to amaze me. If the updates are 100% this could become the best VST ever, IMHO.

Hello,

i remembered my promise and published a new synth brass bank ("IW Sylenth1 Synth Brass v1.2") with 26 patches. :D Here is the KVR-link:
http://www.kvraudio.com/banks.php?s=lis ... order=date
http://www.kvraudio.com/banks.php?s=dl&id=731

Here is the description of the file :
"This is a zip file with 26 Synth Brass patches for Sylenth1 and one fxb-bank file. The patches are adapted from Sonicprojects OP-X Pro, Arturia Prophet V, Arturia Jupiter 8V, Korg Mono/Poly plugin, Minimonsta and impOSCar. Most patches include Modwheel and aftertouch modulation."

Some patches where checked using the original song, e.g. "Jump" or "Africa".

P.S. : The Memorymoog patch is adapted from Voltkitchen Memorymoon.

Update: I just realized that the bank file contains only the 8 old patches. I guess there was a failure in saving the bank. So please use the 26 single patch files (fxp).

Great synth. So much though that I bought it. Just a nit picky thing though. I have the cm issue 127 and see a rating of 8 out of 10 not 10 out of 10 on the Arksun soundbank. Am I missing something or just some creative marketing?

Hello,

i am sorry but this question is in a totally wrong post. This was just about my synth brass patches which i published at KVR. Since Arksun is around in the forum sometimes he may answer it somehow. Since i am not Lennard, Arksun or read CM magazine i can not answerr your question.

What i can say is that i have all banks for Sylenth1 including Arksun's and they are all great in my opinon. If you get all the available banks including the free ones you should have nearly all patches you need.

I wrote a post about available commercial banks here :
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=210862

Free Sylenth1 patches at KVR are here:

Yes thats me, not him

Well I have a copy of issue 127 right in front of me, and I was very pleased to see I got 10/10. The picture you see on my website of the review (and in the other thread) is an actual scan of the page itself.

So i'm not quite sure why you see 8 when it reads 10.

Even if I only got 8 out of 10 I would have been happy, but I can assure you its not 'creative marketing' . I would never do a thing like that, just simply scanned the page as-is, which shows 10/10.

The only Soundware round-up reviews on that page (page 108) that shows an 8/10 score is the one directly below mine for something called 'Hang Drum' by Soniccouture and another bottom left called 'Hip Hop Mood Swings' by Big Fish Audio.

A bit off-topic right there. Although I was sure it got 10/10 you made me take out the magazine to double check :D. And yes, my copy still says 10/10...the soundbank definitely deserves that rating.

Nope, it's definitely a 10/10, which is also the rating Sylenth1 received in CM 113. No creative marketing needed ;)
