[/quote]hmm - Tassman's obviously a bit flakey. I've managed to persuade it to open now, but I can't stop it crashing when it gets deleted..

crash on launch with the following VSTs:
Plex, FM7 FX, Moog Modular V, Dcota
but what a great way of dealing with problematic plugins - you are to be commended. this program shows so much promise, i can't wait for it to really get going (though it is quite usable atm). please bring the AU support soonest.

Has anyone had problems getting Altiverb to work? I'm running the latest Mac OS X build as of October 28th.
Also, I've noticed that The Grand doesn't screw anything up until you give the VSTi the filepath for its samples. Once I do that, The Grand hangs forever. So the GUI loads, and you can poke at it and just receive the message "The Grand can not find its files!" or something like that without any problem. Does that help?
Having issues with Waves 4, but I haven't tried anything with .dlls or whatever. I'm going to need to search for information about that stuff.
Many of the others are working quite well, and I'll keep you posted about the few I have left.
This is all quite cool!

Waves 4 is working fine now, just had to update to the latest version. Altiverb crashes Tracktion during initialization, and does not recognize my non-authorized Absynth 2 Carbon VST.
Has anyone else gotten those last two working for Tracktion (specifically using Mac OS X, but generally, too)?

Hi everybody:
I've had some situations where the M-tron that it is able to find its sounds one minute, on the next instance I instantiate can't find its sounds.
A few crashes too.
I am testing out the downloaded beta until I see that all my plugs work.
Thanks
Chris

Roomulator from prosoniq (one of the best soundings reverbs on pc plattform) forces a feedbackloop when the dry signal is low. if it is completely down (the dry signal of tracktion) the reverb produces no sound ???!!!
so to understand me right once again. i plug the reverb in. the reverb has no parameters for wet and dry signal mixing level. tracktion sets its usualy levels to wet 100% and dry OFF. the reverb produces no sound at all with this settings (strange) !! when i turn up the dry signal a bit, i'll get a feedback. I had to turn it up to around -60 to get it work right. this happen to 4 of the 5 roomulator plugins.
what makes me wondering is : how does the plugin "knows" that the tracktions dry level is down ???

Are you sure you've not got a 'real' feedback loop going, with you input/output devices?

yes, i'm. and what's most wondering is , that i HAVE to raise the dry level. otherwise no sound at all will be generatet by the plugin. at the moment it's ok because i allways need the dry signal but when there are rackfilters...

When using both Spectrasonics and Plugsound plugs in OSX, it seems it's only possible to launch one instance of a specific plug. When you launch another one it doesn't have a GUI. Perhaps it has something to do with the UVI engine...

Hi everyone and especially Pädy,
I'm new to Tracktion; been running DP since Performer 2, though. I'm on Mac and OS 10.3 and I very much doubt that I'll be upgrading to DP 4 now that I've discovered Tracktion. Awesome and great fun!
Thanks a lot, Pädy, for the detailed solution to getting a .mid file from GA. I followed your recipie religiously and successfully imported the rendered MIDI file.
HOWEVER...
... the rendered MIDI file plays way to slowly! The original 'performance' was 12 bars, and whatever I try the imported .mid file comes out at 14 bars!
Any idea at all would be most welcome.
Best regards,
Joachim

Pädy wrote:Groove Agent is working perfectly in Tracktion and recording Midi is actually much easier than in any other host I know of. Here's the deal:
1.) insert an instance of GrooveAgent into a track
2.) play it with your Midi keyboard – notes up from C3 trigger the different patterns of one style (well, depends on the Midi channel actually – RTFM )
3.) now start recording – hit any note from C3 up and GrooveAgent starts playing. Hit another note to change the pattern or insert a fill if you like…and so on.
4.) Stop recording – what you see now, is a midi file with just a couple of notes – that’s fine.
5.) Go to GrooveAgent and enable the Midi out option.
6.) Now select that clip you just created
7.) Go to “export – create a midi file”, check the “only render selected clips” option. Define the name and destination and hit “render”.
8.) Then go to the Windows folder where the newly created Midi file has been saved to and drag’n’drop it onto the Tracktion edit

well if you were talking to me - it's PC ....but as I said it's not the full Kompakt version so it doesn't matter THAT much.
And even if you find the bug that NI implemented to fool us tracktioneers they won't do much about it (again)
