Hi !
First, thank's for this new version of this good, economic and easy DAW.
- If are record a audio track and pause the play, the sound don't stop
completely.
- the names of the tracks are not seen
- Where is the toolbox of right button mouse ?.
- The screen does not remain adjusted although be kept .
- When one drumsampler like SR-202 or ReDrum ?. It's necessary.

Are you talking about MU.LAB 2? It has a sampler and frankly I don't see a necessity for a "proper" drum sampler. You can do just about anything with a few instances of multisampla and a clever MPA arrangement already!
I totally agree on the toolbox . sadly missed!
edit: Actually I only half agree on the toolbox - tested it just now and noticed how quickly I really did get used to the dropdown menu! I was very confused to begin with a few weeks ago.

How do you mean? Can you please describe in more detail?toniterrassa wrote:If are record a audio track and pause the play, the sound don't stop completely
There is a dividor line between the track mutes and the composer itself. You can drag that dividor more to the right to see the track names, if you want.the names of the tracks are not seen
The mouse tools can be selected by the toolbox in the bottom-right corner. And also by pressing T, you can quickly switch tools.Where is the toolbox of right button mouse?
But most of the time you can do everything without tool switching.
For example, when the pencil is selected, then hold control to make a lasso selection like with the arrow.
Euh, i don't understand wha you mean. The screen does not remain adjusted although be kept
Can you please give more details?
I agree with Bonteburg: With the MultiSampla in MU.LAB 2.0 you can make vast drumsets if you want. But that's in version 2.0, not yet in 1.1. MU.LAB 2.0 is planned to be released in September. When one drumsampler like SR-202 or ReDrum ?. It's necessary.

Is it about the Split or Gum tool?

Uh-oh. The center mouse-wheel doesn't open a toolbox anymore? Darn. And is the split tool now gone too?
Hmm.
Well, I hope you've made it just as quick so that having those things as they are right now in 1.1, that it would be redundant. Guess I'll see sooner or later.

I'd say it's almost as quick once you get the hang of it - on right click you get this drop down menu with many options and choose split. You're then asked to specify the exact location in which you want to split the part. It IS a tad slower than the " <||> " tool thingie but you potentially get more options that way - it's a trade-off.

Take into account that, with the split tool, you had to select the split tool first, which took time too.
I think it's faster this way. But i'm open for discussion.
Goal is: Make mouse editing as fast and fluent as possible.
MU.LAB 2.0 trys to reduce the need for tool switching.
MachFront, if you want the Test version, please send me an email.

About splitting parts in 2.0:Bonteburg wrote:If I had to make my choice in a poll, I think I'd go for the new menu-driven version!
The current scenario is:
1. Right-click the part at the position you want to split
2. Choose the "Split" menu option
3. Click OK on the Split Position dialog (or first edit that value if you want)
To further finetune/optimize splitting parts, we could decide to not popup the time box anymore, so that the split position is always directly defined by the right-click position, which is snapped to the current grid.
Then it's only 2 clicks instead of 3.

Or you could just have a choice of "Split Here" or something, in addition to what's already there.

Yes, that's an option too.MachFront wrote:Or you could just have a choice of "Split Here" or something, in addition to what's already there.
Atoh, want to avoid 'overloaded' menus.
In Test C, step 3 has been cancelled.
And as you can see the exact split position beforehand now thanks to the new info display in the mouse tool box, it should work ok.
Lets evaluate in Test C, coming at the end of this week, normally.

Delete parts : Select parts + [Delete] or [Backspace] key.Bonteburg wrote:Re: Gumtool!
Not as a mouse tool imho, but as a context function. We still need some kind of a "merge parts" tool.
On the whishlist.

Sorry Jo..
"Glue tool" is what I meant to say.
I have no problems with the current way of deleting sequences. Much better than the eraser aka Gumtool...
Merging sequences as a context function is cool with me also. You're on a good way with the menu approach! In other words consider "glue tool" as obsolete too ...

I still think not having a "drag part+press special key = copy/paste" function is a little awkward though ...it works fine with notes in the piano roll!
