I want to split my keyboard for simultaneously playing the B4II with the left hand and an upright with the right hand. I need the sustain pedal for the upright, however, I want to turn it off for the organ. How can I achieve this?

Thanks in advance!

Depends on you r controller - if you split the channels so the sus is only effective on the right hand, it will work. Set the piano to ch 2, organ to ch 1 (example...) Most controllers send cc64 on one channel only unless you have omni mode set.

thesoundsmith, you are proposing to set the splitting keyboard-side, not receptor-side, right?

Seems I have to find the manual for my 10 year old keyboard (P80)...

My initial plan was to mess around only with my receptor (I have to do this anyway to switch between patches), leaving the keyboard as it is...

A MIDI solutions Event box would help with this but you test the follow using a seq first.

Load plugin (Brand X) on mixer CH1, set to MIDI CH1.
Load plugin (Brand B) on mixer CH2, set MIDI to Play on 2 and Thru. Now set the B4 plugin itshelf to MIDI CH2.
Play so Note on is MIDI CH1 and CH2, both plugins will play.
Send CC64 on just MIDI CH1, sus would only be on plugin (Brand X).
