Steinberg has been and will likely be around far longer than the "fail" meme. They've succeeded in being the right workflow for some, not for others. Same with Reaper and any other audio software.NEKRO.MACHINE wrote: steinberg = Fail

Yes, except since joining in a collaboration with Babya he's no longer called Timbaland. His latest release joins a long line of Babyafied classics.djanthonyw wrote:Didn't Timbaland use it for his latest album?Liquidclear wrote:You must not be familiar with Babya's line of Pro-Audio software then.headquest wrote:There Is No Best.

yeah i am aware of that fact its just i never got on well with any of their DAW's/Sequencer's myself. So i was just getting it off my virtual chest
although i have nothing against Steinberg at all and respect the fact that they have given us or paved the way for alot of modern digital recording technology. so it was a personal venting not a bashing. If really i f**king hate something i tend to keep it to myself as who the f**k cares what i think

Gotcha. Unfortunately Cubase got on well with me even though my official education and early experience was on tape and/or with Pro Tools. I don't mind Pro Tools either, but I work better in Cubase so that's what I use. I definitely want to try Reaper for Mac when it is out of beta though.
Edit - that was far too civil an exchange for a host and O.S. war thread so - f**k you.

Yes, I always thought Reaper was gay.

While I really don't see it beating out any commercial DAW, Reaper is probably one of the best freeware options for the time being.

but is the lol for the fact that it actually costs, or that the mac version has been in perpetual beta?djanthonyw wrote:SadPuppyBlues wrote:Reaper is probably one of the best freeware options for the time being.

When I posted, cost. Now that you pointed out the perpetual beta, both.
