Installing Sylenth1 2.0 to other subfolder

Just installed version 2.0, after uninstalling the previous version. Unfortunately, at first, Ableton Live 7.07 didn't recognize the new dll. I discovered that it's necessary to put the plugin's dll file at the exact same location as the previous installment. I had to move the dll from the install directory, to accomplish this (as in my previous setup).
After that everything worked fine, except for the automatic loading of the factorybank.
The previous version allowed me to move only the sylenth1.dll without any problems (I do this to keep my VstPlugins folder tiny). Can this be done with the 2.0 version also? Perhaps some registry setting?
Thanks in advance,
Jan

Worked fine here.. You may need to manually point it to the factory preset banks and/or the license.dat file

Yeah, I had the same problem. v2 wanted it in a separate folder called Sylenth1 where before it was alone in my VA synth folder. Once I moved it all there and made it find the license.dat file it all worked but it's a bit of a kluge, no?JimmiG wrote:Worked fine here.. I tried this a number of times and it didn't. All works now but it is a little weird having to have all the associated files flopping around in that folder.Lennard wrote:Re-browsing your custom VST plugins folder in Live should fix this too. It'll force a rescan of the plugins and Sylenth1 will show up.

I'm no Ableton Live expert myself, but I got this tip from another user:zerocrossing wrote:I tried this a number of times and it didn't. All works now but it is a little weird having to have all the associated files flopping around in that folder.
Hope that helps!Right got it sorted. I downloaded it again and installed it but that failed. I decided to launch an older version of live (7.0.3) this caused a rescan of my custom folder and voila Sylenth v2 is there and fully functional. I thought that's weird as I already tried the rescan in 7.0.7 and that didn't work. Anyway I launched 7.0.7 only to find it still wasn't showing up. So I took the option in Live for browsing to my custom folder again and this forced a rescan. And it worked. This is probably a live 7.0.7 issue but if you get mails about this tell them to re/browse to there custom folders.
