Welcome to the official Tracktion Users' forum!
In case you haven't heard of it yet, Tracktion is an audio/midi workstation by Raw Material Software - for more info, visit the website at http://www.rawmaterialsoftware.com
I'll be using this forum to announce new developments and releases, see what people think of new ideas, listen to feedback, bugs, etc etc.
And since I designed and wrote the whole thing (well actually only about 99% of it..) I'm probably a pretty good person to come to with your questions. I'll try to check the forum as often as I can, but I've got code to write as well, so don't be too impatient..

Congrats, Jules! You must be happy with the response Tracktion has received thus far. With the advent of a dedicated forum, prepare yourself as best you can for a barrage of praise, questions, criticisms and suggestions.

I'd like to see the following in future releases of Tracktion:
DirectX and DXi support...
And a real time audio spectrum display at the audio output, like the one in Wavelab...
At the moment I use Cubase and Wavelab and I hate all the windows and fannying around...
I've been waiting for something like Tracktion for a long time, but without these two things I can't really ditched the Steinberg combination...
Everything about Tracktion I like, the app, the web site the help, it's brilliant...

Hello everyone
First, Tracktion looks good, but it crashes every time I try to open it.
I run it on a Titanium 867Mhz 512 Ram.
Are audio units planned??
Good luck
Cheers,
Tom.

Yeah - I'm just hunting down this mac crash... (can't actually get it to happen on my almost-identical PB though).
AUs - probably sometime next year.

It looks like CM magazine are going to up the Tracktion publicity next month - they mention that they've got a planned article on the newbies upsetting the "big" players like cubase, and it has the raw material logo rather prominent!

Please accept my thanks and congrats for producing such an effective, easy to use and stunningly affordable application. I only purchased yesterday but have already begun using Tracktion as my main musical notepad/idea tool! BTW, all my plugins-work beautifully - Amplitube works far better in your app than it does in SX! Soft synths (Reason 2.5 and Kontakt) function with no problems at all so far.
I look forward to being a customer of yours for many years to come.

Hi,
even if I had some difficulties with the "serial-number"-FAQ after purchasing as there is none
and I'd have liked to know before
I just like to say that this is a wonderful program. I just can tell anyone if there being one who didn't know already that even if you own another audio/midi-sequencer Tracktion is THE addition to it. I love my Orion and Massiva with the wonderful EnergyXT, but now there is Tracktion too, and things go that easy... simply wonderful. Anyone who reads this welcome-site should try the demo. I'm sure most of you will buy Tracktion after a day or a week.
stunning! as we Germans say

Hi Jules,
I really just wanted to encourage you on your lovechild, Tracktion.
It has all the hallmarks of greatness but is still a long way off. But there is a light in the distance.
It will be interesting to see where the ride will eventually take you.
Regards
Ben

Hello, I´m just new to Tracktion and I have to say great app!
I already tried out some other hosts starting with Orion (to buggy), going to Sam7 (full of bugs, crashes and an horrible GUI and that for 999€!!!!!), Bidule (missing powerfullsequencing) and just now I´m coming from FLstudio, wich I love very much.
But in Traction workflow is much faster!
What I did like to see is a midi editor where you could draw notes with the left and erase with the right mouse button (so you don´t have to switch between the 2 tools) like in FL and for the automation curves and velocities, etc , some lanes UNDER (and not IN) the midi editor (as many as you need for that moment and resizable), so you could see all your automation data at 1 view and you could copie and paste them alltogether in one move (or only the ones that are shown for that moment).
I just bought the latest version 1.5.1.2 for 80 Dollars, so this allowed me to save about 940€ (that makes a lot of new VST´s) in comparison to Sam7 for a better and more intuitive tool!
I think I´ve detected a bug with Reaktor 4 and it´s sequenced synths and automation, I´ve posted this in the vst incompatibility tread!
I want to know why Traction canot be rewire slave, as until now I worked in this way with Ableton and FL, now I have to go the inverse way, but Ableton canot load vst fx while in slave mode.
You are going in the right direction, so keep on!
Greetings!
