Volume control effect

In live use I find that some vst's do not respond to volume control, even though I am sending cc #7 messages routed to the plugin with my volume pedal. A quick fix would be an effect that I could insert into the mixer channel that is nothing more than a volume knob that responds to cc #7. Anybody heard of such an animal?

Research the forum. There is a free plugin that does this and more, I forget the name, but it works great.

OK this is a tricky one. First when "route CC to source plugin" is selected the msg goes to the fist plugin in the chain. So if if it's a Source VST, FX A for example would not receive the CC msg. Here's how this could work.

1. Open the Source selector and check "Assignable Plugin Outputs".
2. Load a plugin that does not respond to CC7 on mixer ch1. Mute this track, not bypass.
3. Open the Source selector again and the select the plugin from "PLUGIN AUDIO FEEDS".
4. Put FX plugin on FX A, mixer ch 2.

I would expect that the FX A plugin on mixer ch 2 could now respond to a CC msg. It's a long way around the block but it should work.

The plugin in question is probably my GH-LRSelector. Go to the bottom of this page to get it:

Also, in Rick's instructions, there should be an added step, between steps 2 and 3. Let's call it "2a":

2a. Select Receptor mixer channel 2.

That's the one, Greg. It's a great little app, and greatly enhances the flexibility of the Receptor. Thanks again...
