Forgot to say: this bass is the most playable sampled bass, i've tried yet (and i have these quite detailed and well sampled ones in Independence 2 too).
It is pure fun!
My real bass-playing is bas(s)ic(k), btw.

Hi Greg. I noticed that the update for my Garritan Personal Orchestra comes with the Kontakt Player 2.0. Is it possible to load these bass samples into this?

Post

no, but you can crossgrade from the player to Kontakt 3

I was kidding of course.

No stress.

So, are you finished with the picked bass yet?

Not finished with it yet, but I've started, and it's going to sound great! The intelligent upstroke/downstroke (not plain round-robin cycling) is going to make the picked bass so fun to play! Not to mention a breeze sequencing and not having to worry about the machine gun effect.

The slap bass is totally complete.

So after these new two products are released, I'm going to release the free loop library and also a big free update for these existing three products. I've received a lot of great feedback and suggestions, so I'm going to be implementing some cool stuff for the update.

Greg, will you offer an introductory price also on the picked bass and/or on a complete Cherry Bass bundle, once all parts are finished? I'm holding off on the current, fingered bass, because it's the picked bass I want most. But maybe getting the fingered bass now before the 27th for the intro price and the other parts as updates later is the smarter way to go? What's your suggestion?

Yes, there'll be the same 20% off, two-week introductory discount for the slapped and picked basses as well.

What it rounds down to is that if you think you may need a fingered bass soundset in the future, I'd recommend purchasing it before the 27th, while it's at 20% off.

Right now I'm thinking about how the cross-grade discounts will work. Here's the way I'm going to try and make it work: when a product is released, the customers who own products which are qualified for the cross-grade will be emailed a coupon code for the discount. That way customers don't have to go through the hassle of emailing me for the cross-grade price and can enjoy the discount instantly.

Okay, I've finished the script for the picked bass. It also has intelligent round-robin (something I'll add in the update for the other two bass products), meaning each note is individually tracked to insure that repeated samples will be as far away from each other as possible. Basically the samples cycle separately for each individual note. And then you have 4 alterations per note, both upstroke and downstroke.

Just thought I'd drop in to say I bought it and so far quite like it. Need to spend some more time with it, but it'll hopefully make my life a little easier! Thanks! :)
Surely there must be consensus by now...

Oh yeah and looking forward to loops, if only to get some nice hints on technique.

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to thank you all for helping make this such a successful release! I've received a lot of good feedback on the two bass libraries, and am overjoyed that they've been so well-accepted.

As a reminder, I also wanted to mention that the introductory discount for CoreBass: Cherry lasts for only two more days, so take advantage of the 20% discount on while it lasts.

Thanks again!

Greg

sounds great, and I don't say 'great' with the facility of Tony the Tiger or nothin'. demo 2 is super sweet

I'll buy it if I can put 40$ aside; no, wait; if the slap bass one has regular articulations, I'd go for that one. Does it?
