Hi All,

I'm working on the Leopard platform with Logic8 and I have some bugs with the last Beta version of Zebra, I would like if other ones than me encounter these too.

a) when I try to save a variation of a preset and want to save it with simply adding or changing a number of version, this is impossible because the entire name of the preset is selected in the save window: I'm unable to make a partial selection of the preset's name and I must write the whole name again. This is not the worst, but it's uncomfortable.

b) a bit more problematic is the following: when I save a preset in wich one there's a compressor module with the "strong" setting, that I close it and then open it again, it's always the same thing: the compressor is set to "smooth" and the settings of all the buttons are changed an setted each time to the same "default" value.

c) a last minor bug is with the reverb module, with which one the damp button comes back to it's default setting from times to times.

Last but not least, as I hadn't these problems with the b7 version of Zebra, I tried to reinstall this one, but now it goes out of tune as if it was in demo mode, though it is clearly registered!

If there are others having these problems, please react, and if you have suggestions, they are welcome.

Hi Al

A: when i press SAVE the dialog opens with the cursor blinking infront of the first letter in the preset name. So no problem on Win PC VISTA.

B: COMP module stays at correct position when browsing or re-opening a new instance of Zebra on Win PC VISTA.

C: no problem on DAMP on Win PC VISTA

K, the latest beta introduced the OSC Voice Drift ON/OFF switch on the global page which might fix the tuning problem.

IF your having trouble in general then make sure you have no leftovers lying around on your system from former installations/versions.

Hosts often run into problems if they see 2 installations of the same plugin.
Workaround for this can be to rename all the dll files, in this example Zebra2.dll to Zebra3.dll IF you have duplicates lying around.

Not much help thou but i hope it helps you identify the problem more clearly.

Thanks for your suggestions Michael,

As I use only the Audio Units Components on my system, I've removed the hmmm very old u-he vst versions of my folders, I never had taught that this could cause trouble to the behaviour of Audio Units: well it does!

All the little bugs have disappeared excepted one the a):renaming patches is still there in the b8 version, so I'll stay on b7 for the moment, thanks again for your help.

I wisch you to go on creating interesting oldskool sounds with Zebra.

Are you serious, here? You do realize that's a demo limitation?

Martin: The causality is actually the other way round...
It goes out of tune because you don't buy

Uh!... The idea that I would be responsible of the fact that someone doesn't buy Zebra is very problematic to me.

Zebra goes out of tune IN DEMO MODE and in demo mode ONLY, excepted in my case where there was a configuration problem, and this, I insist on it, with a Beta version, a registered version of Zebra NEVER goes out of tune.

So, Martin if you don't buy Zebra, you 'll pass near muuuch, verrrryyyy muuuuch synthesis possibilities without even realizing it. Zebra offers such a wide palette of parameters that I don't think a human brain could use all of them at the same time: this brain would simply explode. And it offers all this with the most logic, clear, simple and easy to use interface on the market. This is not all: you buy Zebra only once, the upgrades are free for registered users. With this you also have the benefit of an uncomparable quality of support service, and a really very good and interesting user forum.

If you really find all this somewhere else, make me a sign, but I would be very surprised...

So, just buy it, I swear you that this tuning problem will disappear, and you will enjoy it for a long, very long time.
