How many presets did you do for Acidome?

Actually a better question is how did you come up with so many names for all your presets :o

Edit: Have you managed to upload your cds yet?

Open Guitar release date is unknown yet, <grin>

BTW I would ask to everyone: do you prefer one VSTi for each guitar type, so it will be a 3 plugins bundle, or to be able to load each of the six strings one by one?

pros and cons:

3 plugins : each VSTi could be internally adjusted by me to improve a little the algorithms for each type: steel, nylon, strat. (3 DLLs to manage)

six strings loadable: since the source of the algorithms are samples, I could add the feature that you can load each string with the type you want,
so you can have mixed guitars. Basically changing strings like in a real guitar one by one. (Slower setup)

Post

yeah but can it sound like yngwie meets joe pass meets django meets hendrix.lol.just kidding...sounds cool.

If it is only a slight improvement on the algorithms then I'd vote for flexibility of having mixed strings.

I'd like to have independent sounds for each string if possible so I can assign each to strings of midi guitar controller.

can sounds like Open Guitar meets Your MIDI skills, <grin>, lol

glad you like it

one sound for one string I think is the best, it would really be like changine the strings,

but Musical Gym to use MIDI Guitar I this you need also one MIDI channel per string, ok I could do that, anyway if you are a guitar player you may find very limiting to play Open Guitar with a guitar controller, since it's designed for keyboard

Post

That's ok.
Will Open Guitar be able to receive pitch bend information from guitar controller?
Please enable one midi channel per string if not too much trouble.

Hi All

Please check this uodate and new mp3s

Musical Gym, sorry no pitch bend so far, not sure if it would fit in the plugin architecture

Post

Maybe you will find a way.
I think most synths can send/receive pitchbend information.
Thanks for keeping it in mind.

Just PMed you, Az. I never looked at this thread again as I'm happily using the beta. I bought Open Guitar the day the beta was available!

I'm confused. I didn't realize the beta was available.
Do you have to buy the plug first in order to get the beta?
How do you like it?
How would you rate it?
Pros? Cons?
I'm thinking of getting it if it's worth it, but I was hoping to test-drive a demo of it first.

<Off topic mode on>

Cheers bro :-)

<Off topic mode off>

I've been waiting for my pay to go through and just bought OG today :-) Somehow I don't think Ice T was rapping about Open Guitar on his track of the same name.

@Musical Gym - from the smplugins.com page "To be released (Beta available one request and purchase)"

Knowing how good liqih's previous stuff is :hail: I just bought it without bothering to try the beta.

@liqih - clicking on the OG gui on smplugins page displays old gui

The beta is available upon request, I suspect, because I immediately contacted liqih and begged him to sell it to me, in any state, the moment he could so I did a pre-buy essentially.

Even in beta form it was well worth the purchase. I have... odd tastes, though. Essentially once you learn to feed it midi the right way it's precisely what I need for my next project, so I'm happy as hell already.

Thanks, guys, for info.
I understand that for dev to add pitchbend it will increase cpu consumption.
I don't know why. I was hoping to try to send pitchbend with my midi guitar controller to make it more like bending strings.
Anyway, I may get it if I can come up with money.
I better listen to audio demos first.
