while i do really like effectrix and robotronic , i seem to be having a lot of trouble with both in my vst effects in cubase .....effectrix is currently crashing cubase.....do they need to be in separate sugar byte folders? when i install them i always put the path in the same folder also....could that be the problem? what is the best choice for the path?....i have all my vst's in my d drive and cubase in my c drive?
thanks , rick

Hi,
there is no special path configuration required for Effectrix or Robotronic.
Could you tell me your system specs please. (which OS, which Cubase version, latest Effectrix version ?)
When does Cubase exactly crash ?
Best,
Robert

i'm using xp home, cubase studio 4.1026, i purchased effectrix 6 weeks ago i though it included the latest update. it doesn't quite crash cubase but i get a warning a serious problem has occured and after that effectrix no longer works...this usually happens within a minute....it seemed to be working fine until i installed robotronic....should the dll be in the sugar bytes folder?....it seems to end up outside the folder on my disk d.
thanks, rick

Hi,
the dll's should be in your vstplugin folder.
normally this is C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Vstplugins\
(unless you have specified a different location)
Do you see Robotronic in your plugin list in Cubase ?
Have you tried removing the Robotronic.dll, does the message still comes then ?
Can you verify that you have Effectrix 1.1.1 running.
Does the message come when the gui of Effectrix is open ?
Is Effectrix playing in this moment ?
Do you have an AMD processor ?
best
