Just put down an extra checkbox in the browser window: "play sample as loop"
Unchecked does not preview wavs, or does so as oneshots, if it's enabled you treat the wav as a loop.
That might solve the problem no?

I've downloaded the installer 1.0.9. for OS X, it seems to work as expected, says the installation was successful, logs-out and reboots, however no application can be found, no plug-in is installed. It seems it does not exist at all on my system (iMac G5 PPC 2.1ghz, 2.5 gig ram, OS 10.5.4, Logic 8.0.2). I have an up-to-date iLok, tried repairing permissions, tried downloading and reinstalling from the installer a few times, but still no application to run, no plug-in installed. Can anyone help? I have PlugsoundPro plus the original USB Xtreme FX already installed on my system but don't imagine this would make any difference.

No, it's not showing up in the AU manager at all either.

(UPDATE) OK, after several more tries running the installer package, it finally spat out the AU component and the application, and parked them in the right places. Don't know what was going on there, but all good now.

There was indeed an issue with the installer on the website.
This is now fixed.
If you download it back, it should works fine now.

Thanks Olivier - all working well now. Love the faster loading times compared to PSPro and it is far less taxing CPU-wise on my older iMac too.

Any info on when UVI sound source opens?

Also you never commented back on my suggestions for FX preset name on FX headline and the container to be able to truly layer sounds inside the same channel. Obviously, I didn't expect them to be done by release time, but was wondering what you were thinking about them.

Also, IRCAM Solo Instruments sounds really good to me, will the individual instrument be available separately as download in your new download scheme?

I already ask this question, and they said they do not plan to sell individual instruments. It's a pity. The whole set is quite expensive, as always with IRCAM products.

I am using Logic 8 on a PPC G5 2x2. I had a problem earlier with the download package, but like others, have had it cured with the last dmg package update so now I have a uvi component showing up and passing validation etc.

My problem, other than an occasional crash (more on that later), is that now my Stylus RMX only shows up in stereo and no longer has a multi-output menu. I know that it also uses the UVI engine; is it possible that installing the UVI workstation could effect this at all?

I also have a uvi player that I downloaded last year (the UniversalUVIPlayer) and several of the offered demo banks that were previously available. When the UVIworkstation failed to install (the earlier dmg package problem) I put the new demo bank in its folder (ie the UVISoundbanks folder in the UltimateSoundbankFolder the Universap player used).
When the dmg did work, I took ALL of those demo ufs files and out them in the soundbanks folder that the workstation used. Sometimes switching among the various demo banks would make Logic crash.

I appreciate the work that went into this package and look forward to using it, but I am wondering if all these steps I took disabled RMX's multi-out capability. Does that seem likely?

ok...belay that last post. I haven't used Stylus in a while it seems (or at least as in Multi-output) and am downloading the rather old update from the Spectrasonics site as I type. Apparently IT will restore the multi-out functionality that was lost in v8.

No precise date regarding UVI sound source, just that its almost done. (yeah I know I keep saying this )

Regarding your FX suggestions and the "group" thing, we've taken it into account. Can't say that it will be added shortly, but definitely things we already thought about.

There's no plan to release IRCAM Solo Instruments as individual instrument.

Unfortunately PC crashlog as opposed to crashlog on mac doesn't tell us much.

Does those happen only with specific REX ?
