It's pretty versatile and will work quite well in the Trance genre too.Riviere wrote:Eric, how well will omnisphere behave in the Trance genre, as i mentioned few pages back im not yet good with synthesis and dont really have the knowledge to create powerful leads, ambiences, pads. Would omnisphere replace Refx's Nexus once i pick up on the knowledge that is?
Omnisphere - will it be worth the hype ?

You misspelled Atmosynth, but it was clear from context what you meant.Karmacomposer wrote:????riley4reason wrote:sphereKarmacomposer wrote:I was able to get my hands on Atmosphere today and already own Stylus RMX, so I hope the discount will be significant!

Just imagine what it will be like to run a KARMA GE into Omnisphere and run an Omnisphere Arp into KARMA, then all that synched up to a Radias or M3 or both! Then back again!Karmacomposer wrote:????riley4reason wrote:sphereKarmacomposer wrote:I was able to get my hands on Atmosphere today and already own Stylus RMX, so I hope the discount will be significant!

Riley,
The box clearly says "Atmosphere"
Not Atmosynth.

Hello Eric,
First of all, I can't wait for the 15th to arrive. These are very exciting times for us music makers to have such powerful synths with great sound quality like you have supplied us.
My question: I have Atmosphere so will I be uninstalling it once I get Omnisphere? It would seem a waste of HD to have both Omnisphere and Atmosphere installed when one has all the contents of the other.
Thanks.

Karma, they are playing with you. They are giving you the hint, but not the correct word.
Is Omnisynth another new synth from Spectrasonics?

Koolkeys,
Ahh, I see. I am quite tired from many editing projects and video shoots, back-to-back, so joking with me will not provide much amusement. Of course, we are also trying to stay on track with BRASStopia to release it asap!
Thanks for the clue.
Mike

All of Atmosphere is included in Omnisphere, so you can uninstall if you like.yairhol wrote:Hello Eric,

However, it's useful to keep Atmosphere installed to recall older projects.

New central forum for Spectrasonics
We've seen WAY too many people abuse the company forums of all the companies that do that. It's a massive timesoak and a real mess and so we've never done it for that reason.
Our approach of "voluntary staff partcipation" on other user forums works much better and keeps things more civil. If people get too nasty, we can just not participate for awhile since it's not our official forum.
Hmmm...ok good point, that's another way of looking at it and I guess judging by the very high quality of your products, if I have to navigate Northern sounds and Yahoo forums and you guys don't have to take any more time away from development then I am happy with that trade off.
Thanks for the clarification...it is something I have wanted to ask about for years.

Mr. Persing,
I want to say that I'm very impressed by your willingness to jump into the trenches and answer all of our questions about Omnisphere. Inane or otherwise.
I hope that you will accept my apology for insinuating earlier that members of Spectrasonics had behaved smugly on occasion in the past. On further reflection I have to conclude that there's nothing wrong with feeling chuffed about a job well done and basking in hard-earned success. If any of it has gone to your head-it's impossible to detect based on your responses and candor exhibited here.
A sincere thanks for pushing the envelope for the rest of us.
Respectfully,
Ryan D.

At 40 - 50GB, this is a pretty hefty beast. My laptop has only got about 35GB spare capacity, so I am wondering whether I will be able to use Omnisphere with an external hard drive / USB.
??
Thanks
