should work with no probs, i used to do that with stylus rmx and other libraries, too. unless you are streaming at very high polyfonies, of courseIan SDZH wrote:At 40 - 50GB, this is a pretty hefty beast. My laptop has only got about 35GB spare capacity, so I am wondering whether I will be able to use Omnisphere with an external hard drive / USB.
??
Thanks

I want to say that I'm very impressed by your willingness to jump into the trenches and answer all of our questions about Omnisphere. Inane or otherwise.
Respectfully,

As much time as Mr Persing is spending in the trenches must mean that Omnisphere is very solid/stable and he's not sweating just days before the release.

because its an excuse to see a girl without it looking like creeperness....soorry i gueess.. you just have to be in some circles to realize their are no boundaries and sometimes we need a little help and support from time to time to live life... or die.. in shell....

Spectrasonics are based in California.
Last time I checked, that wasn't in Europe, but maybe they've changed it...
And if you'd checked their site, you'd see that they do indeed have a position available:

Sure, and sometimes we have to get off our backsides and sort our own lives out, rather than expecting someone else to do it for us...Touch_the_Universe wrote:sometimes we need a little help and support from time to time to live life

Maybe you should get a P.O. box?Miro wrote:This may seem like an unimportant point to many but...
Is the Omnisphere packaging going to be very big, or can it be easily hidden from the wife upon delivery?
(You must have married my ex-wife.)
But seriously, speaking of packaging, I am wondering in it will have a substantial printed manual (I like hard copy for reading away from the computer), or just a pdf. Although a downloadable pdf of the manual to read after the 15th while we're waiting on our orders would be really nice...

eric you da man!
i was wondering...i'm super into the 80's right now and the dx7...fm synths etc.
is omni going to be able to make some really cool 80's synth patches similiar to these:
and even better are you going to be able to make some of those sounds and then mix them up with the sound of a lightbulb and all that other cool stuff u have going on?
?
i'm licking my chops for the 15th!

ok that is all fine and good but will it work with tarnce?spectrum wrote:It's pretty versatile and will work quite well in the Trance genre too.Riviere wrote:Eric, how well will omnisphere behave in the Trance genre, as i mentioned few pages back im not yet good with synthesis and dont really have the knowledge to create powerful leads, ambiences, pads. Would omnisphere replace Refx's Nexus once i pick up on the knowledge that is?

Man, I wish all developers could learn a thing or two from Eric (and also Squid). THIS is how you conduct yourself as a developer. Always classy as hell.
