DocAtlas wrote:But seriously, speaking of packaging, I am wondering in it will have a substantial printed manual (I like hard copy for reading away from the computer), or just a pdf. Although a downloadable pdf of the manual to read after the 15th while we're waiting on our orders would be really nice...
There's a comprehensive, integrated HTML Reference Guide, just like we did with Stylus RMX.

Saves paper, is searchable and we can keep it up to date with the software releases.

And of course we'll have lots of free Omnisphere video tutorials for registered users on our site. :-)

Thanks

Yes. :-)
I was wondering that same thing, glad to know.

Any ETA on an upgrade price/pre-order time? I'm not asking you to say the upgrade price and pre-order time, just asking when you will. :Þ

EDIT - Just saw in another thread you said the upgrade deal would be announced on the 15th. :)

License transfers are just not eligible for the the ultra special VIP pricing.
will I be able to transfer the license if I bought it 2nd hand?
Not sure exactly what you are asking, but License Transfers are a one-time thing.

I love the countdown clock on the page :)

Eric, I appreciate your replies on the SOV issue. I can see your logic. Got to draw the line somewhere

But I'm not buying the marketing that it's an "added extra". It's not an extra or bonus, it's just part of the product. That's the same sort of marketing BS as "buy one get one free" soap sud promotions. Let's not get too carried away folks.

Spectrum,
I'm glad you mentioned there will be video tutorials on your site for registered users.
I'm no Synth guy but would like to incorporate a synth instrument in my music. I haven't been able to master Atmosphere and not even 50% of it. It's a whole new world for me and from just the manual I couldn't figure out a lot of its capabilities.
I've watched the tutorials about RMX (I don't own RMX) and I'm sure they are most helpful for those who are new.
I hope some of the Omnisphere videos will be directed towards us newbies who are not synth masters.
Just an example of what I have trouble with is getting filter sweeping to match the tempo of the song and sometimes there doesn't seem any change to the sound when I tweak different sliders. I Can't figure why that is and how to match those that do have an effect to the tempo of the song.

Thanks.
Can't wait for Omni to arrive. I'll be upgrading from Atmo.

That's very useful feedback.

We'll be sure to do some video sessions like that along with all the others we have in the works.

don't know if this was posted before but check it out

it shows you some of the synth editing functions- all the filters and the timbre/waveshaping/FM/RM/granular processing on the Core samples! just think about that- all those incredibly complex organic acoustic sounds with all kinds of deep FM/granular/waveshaping mangleing-

:o

Just one question : GrooveLock works with midi files from RMX only , or other midis can be dropped into Omnisphere ? .

And I'd like to add...if you are not using RMX, will Omnisphere's arp sync with the host's tempo?

Of course! :-)

That would be pretty nasty if it didn't work that way, or we forced you to buy RMX to get host sync!

....wait a minute, that's not a bad idea....then we could charge an upgrade fee by the BPM range...hehehehe!!!! :D
