How can people hype up a product 2-3 months before it is released?
I am not falling for the hype and i am perfectly happy with what i already have ;)
just a multiple smash-up or something like mass hysteria

that's not even the point. in a DAW/VST based environment, you have routing options that you can't find in the hardware world. and for the end-user, no matter if in the studio or on stage, the question is: "is it an instrument and can I play it?".

Yes it's an instrument and yes you can PLAY it..I'll be playing it as soon as Sweetwater ships it! I'm not questioning 6 years of work from Spectrasonics somethings you just know are gonna be good... 8)

Have fun either way. Nite.. 1 more day left

christianmusicmaker wrote:I am just wondering about the countdown...it will end at 9am GMT. (Which I am quite happy with), but Spectrasonics are US based and that would mean 9am GMT is something like 5 to 9 hours ahead of US time zones. That being the case 9am GMT would be sometime between midnight or 4 am in the US (give or take a few hours) depending on the exact time zone.

Maybe Spectrasonics are aiming to have a very late night Website update on the 14th to ensure there is no time lag of 5 - 9 hours on the 15th where there is no update of pricing info for European customers.

If the website is updated at 9am PST or something that would be (I think) about 5pm or 6pm GMT. That cannot be possible because the timer would have to have another 8 hours added to it.

Glen or Eric...is the countdown for the actual update of the site or just the day of release? It's just a simple matter of hours now (so a minor oddity), but you guys need to sleep even though Eric said he doesn't do that :hihi:
I'm on the East Coast, and the timer looks like it's going to hit zero at 9:00am EST here. Right now it's 6:46am, and the time is showing 1 day, 2 hours, and 14 minutes. Is it possible that people in different parts of the world are seeing different timers?

I never thought of it that way :D

I have to admit that this reminds me of the hype that was built on the Release of Reason 3 and Sonar 7.

I almost died before they where released :hihi:

Hmmm maybe they really are showing different timers...it's 12:43pm here and the clock shows 20hrs and 16 minutes.

Somehow IT seems very important to us, evolutionary, culturally and stuff...

On the West Coast only 1 day and 2 hours.

Then I will pace myself.

This countdown, as most other countdowns on websites actually means nothing as it's based on your local clock time. It will reach 0:00:00:00 and then will count backwards (in a weird way, starting from -1:-1:-1:-1), until the Omnisphere information is actually released tomorrow at some time not related to the countdown.
