It will reach 0:00:00:00 and then will count backwards (in a weird way, starting from -1:-1:-1:-1), until the Omnisphere information is actually released tomorrow at some time not related to the countdown.
Huh? Count backwards? I know Spectrasonics are a super creative bunch but sorry no one is that good :hihi:

What do you mean?

I think there was possibly a countdown for RMX as well. I cannot remember what happened when it ended, can anyone remember?

Matters little (hours left now) but after Megakazbek's post I am really curious. :help: :)

Well, as it's a countdown it's already counting backwards :)
But what I really meant, that timer would reach 0:0:0:0 and then nothing interesting will happen, it would just continue counting. What timer shows is not relevant to the time they will decide to release Omnisphere information. It basically shows, how much time is left until 9 o'clock in your time zone.

Ah I think I understand you now. :)

I can imagine someone with a stained glass window etched with the Omnisphere teaser logo positioned on the one window shack so that as the moment 9o'oclock approaches the sun illuminates the window projecting the image on to his red eye balls after days of no sleep and finally he is at ease for the sun has brought fourth the only light of his life

Yeah. I got cranky this morning when I looked at the site and the countdown went below zero.

I thought to myself...where is Omnisphere?

Last night I saw the countdown and there was 11 hours to go and I thought...well, I'll wake up this morning and the demo mp3s will be there after breakfast so I can listen to what this baby is capable of.

Oh well. Another day isn't going to do any damage.

Well if thats half as good as Poison Pussy Harpsichord, put me down for the four hundred. Never-mind the Lehman liquidation I'll just have Alfred fetch the cash....

The closest to a regular piano we've heard mentioned so far is the one recorded in a cathedral. The library is supposed to include the multisamples from Spectrasonics' sample libraries, including Hans Zimmer Guitars 1 & 2.

Omnisphere isn't supposed to be a workstation-type synth, so it may not have a lot of your standard bread-and-butter sounds. I get the impression that the goal wasn't to simply sample instruments (and other things), but to sample them in unusual ways. We'll all know more tomorrow.

I don't get it. They generate the enormous mountain of hype and then can't get the release day right ?

EDIT: Still counting in my time zone. I would bet they are going by California time, which would actually leave almost 12 hours from now. it's currently just after 9PM there, and release is at 9am.

Wow I didn't realize it had the Hans Zimmer stuff as well, that's great.. I thought it was only SOV and Vocal planet along with Atmosphere+ new Psychoacoustic stuff ,this is an added plus! I always wanted those guitars, but just never bought'em.. Thanks Spectrasonics :D

Is there a .pdf owners manual out yet?
