I do agree... I think if they aren't going to have the audio demos up right now they should have atleast put a real in-depth walk through video with Eric demonstrating it .. with sound. They made all of those other videos, one more detailed video wouldn't hurt.

Well, you could always think of the pre-release videos as audio demos. There's some really great sounds just in those videos, which triggers my imagination. I don't think we will see a demo version of the synth, but I can imagine there will be some audio demoes on the site within a couple of weeks.... Didn't they do the same thing, when RMX was released?

Tracking info says my copy should be delivered Thursday. I'm not terribly concerned about how wisely my money was spent, really. I've forked over some decent chunks of change in the past on things like Kontakt libraries out of which maybe 10% actually ended up being stuff I would use. I'll be very surprised if I can't get enough use out of Omni to justify the cost. The speculation will be replaced by hands-on experience soon enough...

Just ordered it from Procom.no - The sounds I've heard from the videos are amazing, and so is the feature list. People are already praising Atmosphere, and this contains Atmosphere's library, only now with synthesizer capabilities and 10 x more sounds and features. I can't wait for this to ruin my studies

Woohoo!!!! I've ordered mine through the upgrade route from Spectrasonics. Atmosphere > Omnisphere = $249
I live in the UK, so that is about £140. Plus the £29.50 shipping and tax = £169.50.
Being that Omnisphere is £299 brand new I think that it is quite a substantial saving. Thanks Spectra- dudes.
Just got to wait 5 days or so until it's here

If one wants to be anal-retentive about the "hype" thing, the definitions of the word suggests that attention is exaggerated and the object overrated compared to its real value or perception thereof. Since nobody has technically compared it by actual use (yet) there exists no technical ground for the label.
Hot air in other words. If a user thinks the attention and the experience of the product deserves one another, hype isn't a valid point of argument - and since everybody will differ in opinion, there can't be any consensus as to whether it is a hype or not.
