If you the same soundcard as Windows default audio output(MME) and in UVIWorkstation in ASIO(even with ASIOForAll driver) that may lead to some problem in application using default audio output. That's an issue with the way Windows handle audio.

You might want to check using the MME driver for this soundcard in UVIWorkstation in the StandAlone preferences.

Let us know if this fixed your issue.

Hello Olivier,

Thank you for the quick response and suggestions. I am using the actual file at the app support location, not an alias. My iLok light is on. I have never received an authorization from Ultimate on the iLok website. I have synchronized the iLok a couple of times, all of my other authorizations show up, but the iLok site never shows anything received from Ultimate. I have emailed concerning this issue a couple of times. I have a smart chip that came on the card with the Plusoundpro package, and that is inserted correctly. Does that make a difference? I tried removing the demo file, and the Plugsoundpro file still doesn't show up.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thank You

I have tried this on my XP SP2 PC, and my MacPro (Intel). It does recognize the demo banks. Yes, I have it installed in the correct locations on both systems. Any ideas?

Thank You
Hi,

1. Check is if the authorization is really on the right iLok
looking in iLok.com website.

2. Check that when the iLok is plugged, its light is turned on. Some USB port do not have enough power and from time to time either OSX or Windows disable those.

3. Are you using an alias/shortcut to Plugsoundpro.ufs ? if so I would check that the alias is named exactly like the original file (ending with .ufs) and point to the right file

4. I would let temporarly only Plugsoundpro.ufs in the UVISoundbanks folder. (moving other ufs to a tmp dir inside the UVISoundbanks folder)

Hope this might help.

Ok that's an easy one then.
In order to transfer the licence available on the chip to the iLok, you need to install the PlugsoundPro software and launch it.
There will be an authorization dialog from PACE that will allow you to do this transfer. Unfortunaletly there is no option on the iLok website to do this.
After doing this, you'll be able to verify that the authorization is really on your iLok checking its content on the iLok website.

After that you can remove the PlugsoundPro software and install UVIWorkstation. Both can coexists still so you don't have to remove UVIWorkstation to install the PlugsoundPro software.
New PlugsoudnPro boxes no more ship with a chip and we transfer directly the PlugsoundPro auth to your iLok account. It seems you have an older boxes
(this is the only difference though)

Let us know how it goes.

Hello Olivier,

The package that I received has a dvd with one file, the plugsoundpro.ufs. The CD that came with the package only has UVI workstation installer. I have no PlugSoundPro installer. Please advise..

Post

joebone,
if you still encounter problems while transfering your PlugSoundPro license to your iLok key, I can upload the 1.04 version of the PlugSoundPro instrument (now replaced by UVI workstation).
Send me a private message if you want.

Thank You for the offer. It seems that from the beginning there was a mix up as to the version I was sent. When Alain caught the oversight he quickly sent the auth to iLok. I'm up and running.

Thank You

I don't have much ideas...
I would advise you to try with small free host like
VSTHost see if you encounter the same kind of issues.

AND, I'd also like to give the uvi workstation crew a HUGE BONAFIDE thanks for the effort! (even if you are not done yet)

:D   :harp:

though it may not be done, I've got to say I'm so happy to be able to actually use my PSP and other USB soundbanks :)

A 1.0.10 will be released with the website opening and it won't be beta anymore :)
It contains small bug fixing.

When?? I guess soon :)
So we can start safely building multi without having to worry about incompatibility? Everything i have done in 1.0.4 or so doesn't load up anymore, well no big deal, but I was waiting to be close to release to start building multi again, just in case...

I'm with hibidy on this as well, I had loose fate on one day finally be able to use PSP, Soundcards and MOTU SI in large project, but this new VSTi as just resurect them. It's nice to be using those sounds.

Sorry for the delay regarding the website... We will announce it in this thread as soon as it's opened.

There is no compatibility issue between 1.0.9 and 1.0.10, so you can work safely without fearing trouble after upgrading.

Thanks for your comments.
