nice pixels :) +1

its amazing how people are acting. try loading up ext, with all synths and all plugs, there is power.

people throwing themselves on the floor having fits about a synth no one has even tried/heard is patently absurd.

i hope the synth is great but think outside the box a bit. there isn't much you cant do with ext and open format plugs you have already/own already.

good luck to you all but please contain your enthusiasm to a few posts. dont pollute the entire board.

thanks much

I hear Omnisphere will solve Global Warming and cure the Common Cold..............Seriously I don't remember seeing this much hype for any plugin before.

@tek; it's sad. sheeple are sheeple though. mob mentality here is beyond normalcy. it's almost a sickness or neurosis...

thats why i have not joined in any of these threads till now, i preorded and im just waiting for it to arrive. once i get it installed and run it through its paces then i will post about it. i get what you guys are saying about all this hype , but you guys could just avoid these threads like i have for the last couple of days if you wanted to. so off i go with avoiding these threads again but it is hard since they are all over the place :nutter:  . this was just my opinion though guys.

well personally as someone who is using it id prefer to have less threads to have to read through over the next few days, keep the discussions tidy if you get me?
also a few people have mentioned the spam like appearance and i do feel that could be one reason why people may moan and turn the existing threads sour, thus making them useless arguing.
whereas if we keep it to a minimum, then people who dont have it are less likely to have any reason to complain

I agree with Cain,

It seems entirely dysfunctional to partake in threads you're not interested in or resent - for no other reason than to issue some petty complaints about it and spread some weasel type of venom. So instead of adding to the threads they prefer, they vomit in the ones they don't?

Now if only we could agree on the definition of pollution.
If every KVR member wrote one review a year we'd have 1340 reviews each day!

As you can probably tell from the specs, Omnisphere is a pretty ambitious instrument. That necessitated a new engine, which we wrote in-house, named STEAM.

Surely this is spam ? Or at least a "Dorothy Dixer" ?

No, that is called information in response to a perfectly fine question. Your post made you appear as something far worse than spam though.

I'd say that fetid post borders to stalking.

There's an Omnisphere user forum up (not official)...no posts there yet

I got Omnipshere today; I got it loaded (it took a while) and authorized and am now trying it before I go to bed. Sonically it sounds pretty amazing. I haven't quite figured out the interface, but as I move through the sounds, I definitely am hearing things that don't sound like anything else I have in my VTS arsenal. So far I'd say it is definitely worth the money.
