Hi Per - thanks a lot for that demo, I am listening to it now - very good example of the sounds.

That might answer another question I saw(*); Xlutop Chainer is, as far Im aware, a VST2.3 host.

Just got back from Carl's Jr.

The results were similar or identical in Sonar 7 PE and Jeskola Buzz.

Sorry Eric: I haven't slept yet and I've got 2 album projects to work on today, so that would have to wait. For what it is worth, the FX is all from Omnisphere and controllable within the synth.

If a lot of people want the same thing, I'll try and get something up if a free moment comes up. *Fingers crossed.*

My copy of Omnisphere just arrived, but I do not have a dual-layer DVD at home. Is it possible to run the installer at work, move the data folders to a portable hard drive and then copy the data to my studio computer at home? I know this wasn't possible with Atmosphere but hopefully the installation process is more flexible now (like IK Multimedia's stuff where the library and plugin are separate).

I'm moving them to the hard drive now but I might not get a chance to try them out at home until tomorrow. I'll let you know.

+1.. I like to listen to synths without the Effects, a little more variations won't hurt either, i like to hear some power, aggression, uniqueness, clarity, etc.. I do appreciate what was posted still, something is better then nothing. Omnisphere has my interest and i'll be keeping an eye on it but i usually don't buy a product without thoroughly demoing it and Omni will have no vst-demo, i may get tempted and gamble if i hear some special things in enough audiodemo's and if i feel i'll have no problems getting a License-transfer if i am not pleased and decide to sell it.

Thanks for the sound demo Per. It confirms my suspicions that most of the factory patches aren't going to be much good for my style. I'm still curious, although it's not clear to me that Omni offers anything radically new over what I already have for my own sound design work.

Can I suggest you guys get your own forum either on your own site or at KvR ? I'm well tired of your constant Omnispam spruiking.

But I doubt you will. Once the initial sales hoopla runs down I imagine you'll be pretty scarce again. A forum would commit you to a real presence.
