Which version do I download AU or VST for my MAC?

I have a MAC, no problem there but I am hoping to run Zebra 2 through Garage Band and Logic Pro 8. Which download version do I use? AU or VST? What is the difference? Also, I would like to use Michael Kastrups Oldskool patches. Can I use these in either AU or VST format? Please assist. Also I just bought a new Novation 61 Key Extreme. How well will this map the Zebra 2 configurations. Anybody know?

If I'm not mistaken, you will need the AU version as both of those programs only support AU plugins natively.

Thanks for getting back to me. That explains why I can't run the demo as I downloaded the VST version.
