The unison is really great! But even more fab is the fact that there are actual samples from the JP-8000 supersaw!! Thats said, this is not the same synth as Sylenth. Very different beast!

Thanks :D I'd love to get both, but can only afford one  Sounds like Omnisphere might be the one to go for...
There are two things to think about: If you want an analog synth with outstanding sound quality you should get Sylenth1. Second is that the price of Sylenth1 is only around a quarter of Omnispheres price.

I don't own Omnisphere so far but i guess that a combination of both could make a kind of ultimate synth. One for analog sounds and the other for the rest.

Well my tracking ends at the 19th where it was in Langehagen in Germany.... I hope that the OX cart they use to carry things into Denmark hasn't been robed...

Same here. The tracker showed it stopped arriving about 75 miles away from me on Friday, so expecting it tomorrow. :)

Sylenth1 and Nexus 2 tend to specialize in big trance sounds but I was surprised by how well Omnisphere does them too. Of course if you're only looking for big trance sounds then, as someone pointed out, Sylenth1 is cheaper.

I'd been pretty sure Sylenth1 was going to be my next trance related purchase and now after getting Omnisphere I'm not as sure anymore. I probably will still, but Omnisphere can do an awful lot in that department.

Well it says East Midlands Airport and I am in sunny Costa Del Blackpool so fingers crossed for Monday then.
I invite you to 'voyage' over to https://adrianearnshaw.com, sign up for some fun e-mail 'blasts', and look forward to helping you launch your ears - and projects - into the stratosphere.

Thanks Ingonator and Per for the replies. Thing is, the VIP upgrade price means that Omnisphere is cheaper than Sylenth for me. If Omnisphere can cover the big trance sounds then I think it'd be a no brainer :)

Per, is there any chance (if you have a spare moment) you could knock up a really quick audio demo of Omnisphere doing some supersaw-style sounds?

Got my copy two days ago, but I was away at an Expo and got back very late last night. So, I'm installing now (about 25% through disc 3!)

What's the patch management like? - I didn't much like the way in Atmosphere you needed to wade through a lengthy set of nested menus to find what you wanted - is there a browser and now/next arrows - even better would be the sort of key-word/attribute based searching you have with KORE and other recent NI products

Check the Omnisphere site and watch the video on the browser. It has been vastly improved from Atmosphere and does use a metadata/tagging system among other things.

Hi,
I ordered the Omnisphere upgrade on Friday from the Spectrasonics' site.
Am I now supposed to get a shipping (UPS) number so that I can keep track of where it is?
If so, do I get this number from Spectrasonics or someone else?

Thanks.

Post

Agreed- the browser is now wonderful- almost no wading or sifting needed....

Aha...thanks.
Spectrasonics should say that when we order from them so that we know what to expect.
