Anyone here who got Omnisphere?

Breathing Space-This features some of the Hans Zimmer electric guitars

Like Father Like son-This is a virtual Jam between two generations of Laboriel
and uses some synthsounds from Omnisphere

Grace Period-this is a short tribute to the release of Omnisphere

Vaportrails-this features some of the Nylon guitars in Omnisphere

Thanks Dr. Wu. It's great to hear/see some examples of Omnisphere in a mixed context. I wish that YouTube would improve their notorious sound quality (but there's been enough talk about that issue recently) so that listeners could more fully enjoy your compositions.

Even so, I find Gravity Sucks very relaxing and look forward to hearing more of the tracks as time allows.

Also, many kudos for getting some more demos up for people to listen to. My hat goes off to any other users that are helping fill in the (very short lived) gap while Spectrasonics gets their own demos ready. Personally, I'm glad they are spending more of their time on other things than the demos, but I can also understand how much people want to hear how it sounds.

Thanks, listening now. MySpace does tend to be better than YouTube but still far worse than other music sites.

I disabled the MySpace player on my own music page and use the SoundClick.com player on my MySpace page instead. No re-compression and it doesn't arbitrarily chop off all frequencies above 11 or 12 kHz like the MySpace one does.

Nonetheless, I'm listening to Omni Mood and I'm just at the part where it goes from chillout to dramatic. Unexpected and enjoyable. Don't let any (potential) bashers diminish your enthusiasm or your enjoyable output.

EDIT: The dog for "Groovin" looks just as relaxed as I'd like to be.

so i set up a soundclick account and uploaded a bunch of tunes including all of my omnisphere ones
at 128 kbit it still doesnt do the hifi sound of Omnisphere any justice but at least its a bit better than youtube.

Hi i just listen to korg oasys and korg m3 on their karmalab page they sounds so great (http://www.karma-lab.com/ look at the videosection)
Its a big pricedifferents between korgs machines and omnispeare but what separates them from omnispeare? (ps i know that they are hardwaresynths)

Maby a silly qestion for the the professional but i dont know so mush about synths.....


And wy is so hard to get a directlink working here in kvar forum?

Well that's a pretty big question so I can't really answer it in any depth at all right now. But what I will mention is that part of what tends to separate keyboards like the M3 from soft synths are a lot of the features that are designed for live use. For example performance aids or with loading times optimized for stage use, etc. Also in the case of such products where there is a keyboard included, that in and of itself is a big difference. You aren't just paying for the sounds or the sound engine but also the hardware to play them with. The price of the hardware adds up pretty quickly (digital to analog converters, keyboard, memory, etc.).

Well that's a beyond "abridged" explanation but it is a very small part of the differentiating factors. It's not that one is more pro than the other, but rather that they integrate and try to do quite different things.

i like the sounds that the Oasys has but i find the whole Kharma stuff a bit overwhelming at times.
Its really on the edge of being unoriginal.
I mean its almost to easy-just press a note and a fullfleged arrangement is coming out of the speakers-a bit like an autoarranger for psychedelic entertainers.
I do like to use loops and arps but i also like to express myself a little more.
