Some investigation into the PPG pdf manual has shed some light on the wavetable stuff. I also learned you can disable aliasing by disabling "TRUE PPG" mode.
This is a deep synth. Standard VA waves triangle, square, saw, and pulse exist as the 60,61,62,63 waveforms in the PPG. So you can do traditional VA and other interesting things.
I'm finding that the wavetable can really help for emulating real sounds and contains a bit of FM like character in parts.
Was the PPG ever able to import custom waveforms? I remember seeing pics of some machine that had huge 8" disk drives, and could only guess that's what it was for?
