OH MY GOD!!!!

In case anyone cares, here's a funky jam I dreamed up with the Totally awesome Omnisphere:

I'm Lost In The Omnisphere mp3.mp3

Other than my guitars and the cut up drum loops it is all Omnisphere.

Thank you Eric!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 At 3:02 in that section - I'm busting up laughing it's frickin sweet. I assume the hysterical laughing instrument is actually not Omnisphere, sounds like guitar to me, but the track is butt-smackin funky. Love it.
COOL MAN!!!!

I'm glad you like it my brother.

It is me scratching my guitar in real time with my thumbnail and distortion to bring it out.

Peace!

Damn it Omnisphere is so f!@#$$%%^^&&**ing COOL!!!!!!
Now, I don't read instruction manuals very often so I let everything become a surprise. I just discovered the Live mode accessing two patches at the same time with a simple program change you can select any of 16 combinations. Wow.

Everytime I switch it on I discover something new. F*!£#%g amazing
Can you go into more detail on that Novata? I'm not understanding?

Cheers
Ok, I'll try my best.

Load up 8 patches into multi. Then go into Live mode.
Click on the keyboard symbol on the top left of the screen. You will then see your first selection of patch highlighted in blue and your second patch in white on the right. There will also be two sets of program change buttons. One for the left four patches and the other for the right. So, it stacks two patches together for which you can easily flick through and you can program the program change buttons with your midi controller so Live mode truley is Live and you need never touch the mouse again.
I think this is pretty cool, among many things like the zoom functions into the modulation matrix, you are faced with 24 programmable parameters and then a page right for another 24.
The mod envelopes are totally awesome with some really useful rhythmic presets.
I'm just totally immersed in this. I used to hate programming synths but this is so easy and very inspiring.
OK right on Novata...sounds cool,,,have to give that a check!!!!

Thank you!

Oh yes, you can drag any of the patches to any of the boxes on the live screen in a drag and drop fashion so you can really mix and match some nice sounds together.

So, the question that may be on many people's minds... how are the pads? Well, my girlfriend and I just started an arrangement of "Silent Night" so far using entirely Omnisphere. Here's just a little snippet.

Some of the most gorgeous sounds I've ever heard. This one consists of three patches. The first uses Symphony of Voices material (gregorian choir + pop stacks) to add air and breathiness. The second patch is a VS Bellpad run through granular synthesis. The third, which has the great name of "Communicating With Whales 1", uses the famed bowed drying rack run through acoustic guitars along with STEAM processing. Very, very cool stuff imo.

VERY nice so far!

I'm loving Omnisphere this thing is really great! I think the closest thing to it is the Korg Oasys wich goes for around 6-7 Grand.
