Could we get an automatic VST scan (of the VST directory, for instance) instead of having to add them one-at-a-time?

Second: Although the Midi setup dialogue says output is going to the Microsoft wavetable ..., the audio setup says driver ASIO 2.0 outputs not connected 1 (2).

Needless to say, I have no audio output!

System: Windows Vista, 3gig RAM, athlon dual core processor 4000+, realtek HD soundcard, M3 workstation MIDI input.

You can add a full folder in 1 go, just choose the folder instead of a file.

There could be a conflict between Midi going to MS Wavetable and ASIO.

Try disabling the MIDI Output to MS WT, then ASIO may work.

What are the chances for a "vector automation" implementation?

There is also something in FL Studio "Piano Roll" section that I find (and I am sure a lot of users as well) very useful: You can Slide a Marker-Line in the time-line (when not running) and it plays the notes as if you run the Sequencer by hand. Incredible useful for feeling and catching notes that could be so hard to do if the sequencer was running. You can just grab it and go back and forth. Very unique, useful and effective.

I know...You can have anything, but not Everything.

2.0.D Better and Better

Will be implemented in the next 'big' update.

If you hold [Alt] you can click notes to monitor them.

Ok, i agree, it's not 100% the same, but functionally very close imho.

'Big' update = Fantastic! This program is really getting up there.

I use the [Alt] key and it's very good.
I can get a similar effect as of FL Studio by slowing down the BPM to whatever I need accordingly to the complexity of the part and use the arrow key (which you implemented very cleverly) to go back/listen/back/listen etc.
Actually I like it better then FL :hihi: . I just thought of it last night.

Thank you.

Euh, what i meant is that it will normally be implemented in the next big mulab version (mulab 3).

But there will be some time (and a couple of intermediate versions i guess) between mulab 2 and that next big mulab update.

Lets focus on the concrete present = MU.LAB 2.0 ;)

I remember that IMS (a music app for Atari ST i wrote a long time ago) had a feature to halve the tempo by a key press, and when you released the key it got back to normal. That was an interesting/similar one too while composing.

Added a note on the whishlist.

v3.0, this is what I understood. We are on the same page.
That IMS thing seems good. You have unique ideas.

I'm busy messing around with the MUX. I love it.
