How do you get the Multistage EG to work?

I tried looking at presets where it was doing something and ones where it wasnt but cant figure it out. How do you engage it? The manual doesnt say.

Do you try assigning MSEG1 as a modulation source for something? If you right click any knob labeled "..." you should see a pulldown of a bunch of modulation sources. If you select MSEG1 (on filter cutoff moulation for example) the MSEG should now be active. If you switch to the MSEG panel moving the dots around should produce audible results. This paring is why Z2 is called a wireless modular.
