how can you not think its SampleTank 3? SampleTank, afaik, is IK's flagship product. Its whats been used in countless records by countless musicians. It pioneered the idea of a software ROMpler at the time when gigastudio was the new whiz.

So, it has to be SampleTank 3. Its not SS3 because there's not as much enthusiasm for SS3 as is for ST3.

Now, squids, this is just obvious news. Stop teasing us and give us more info on its features!!! Disk streaming??? built in editor?? free upgrade?? :hihi: :D

I would love to live in your universe - it seems much nicer than the one the rest of us have to put up with
I believe every thread should devolve into character attacks and witch-burning. It really helps the discussion.

Not to split hairs but... ;)

SampleTank was unveiled in trade magazines in March, 2001. GigaSampler (the fore-runner to GigaStudio) was unveiled at Winter NAMM in 1998, a full three year gap. GigaStudio was only subsequently unveiled in early 2000, but to characterize it as "the new whiz" doesn't really do justice to how big a foothold it had developed by that time. :)

Nonetheless, SampleTank did really pioneer the software ROMpler concept and Steinberg's HALion plug-in sampler wasn't released in the U.S. until several months later. So I feel the spirit of the remark, just... wanted to split hairs. :)

I'm guessing Sampletank ~ purely on the basis that you have to be in it to win it & one guess is as good as another.

I hope it will be sampletank it looks a bit weak compared to kontakt and if it wasn't for all the great sounds sets I would have taken the kontakt road

I voted for Tracks. For no apparent reason
A guy with serious GAS and lots of unused VSTs. But if I someday need them...

I hope it's Sampletank,
and i hope it will finally turn from "rampler" to sampler so we can make and edit our own sounds with the same depth as the internal patches.

There has come more workstations like Sampletank now so it would be a natural thing to compete on that market and maybe push a little to the samplers like Kontakt or better yet with a synth engine besides the sample engine like in..................
...............OMNISPHERE a..ha-ha-ha... .. .. :)

SampleSphere! :D

I am voting for T-RackS

(but secretly hoping it's Sampletank)

Post

I voted for sampletank cause it would be the only one I am interested in (well that and sonicsynth).
Just give me a completely new GUI and I would be happy.

You say crossgrade for all IK users. Surely they'll have an upgrade offer for those actually having the previous version, wont they :?

When they released Amplitube 2 there was no upgrade option - just crossgrade...

T-Racks I'd say...

I voted for SampleTank 3, as mention previously, there was talk about an upgrade by an anonymous source... :)

...although if I were doing the marketing, this would all be a big tease for ALL the products jumping to 3.

Post

SampleTank for sure...it's about time. :)
