Receptor Pro Jr, Will it read my samples?

I would be using the Receptor Pro Jr. to store and play and record all of my KONTAKT samples as well as all of my old samples that were formatted for old samplers such as Ensoniq ASR-10, and Kurzweil 2500S. I know KONTAKT reads and plays them, but does Receptor Pro Junior? I don't think they're considered VST instruments, but I don't know. I couldn't buy the Receptor Pro Jr. only to have it unable to properly play those samples. Could you expand on this for me? Am I locked into buying a limited group of samples for it while restricted from others, the way it used to be when all the samples were preformatted for their individual samplers and only Akai seemed to be universal. Which samples is the Receptor Pro Jr. UNABLE TO PLAY? Is it limited to VST instruments?

Your Receptor, with Kontact 2, or Kontact 3, will be able to play anything you can play on Kontact 2 or Kontact 3

The difference between Receptors that you've listed is generally hard-drive space...

If you 'max out' your RAM to 2GB, you'll be very happy with Kontact on Receptor.

Thanks so much for your help JV. The Receptor with KOMPLETE comes already installed with 2 GB or RAM, right? So what are the additional slots for SIMMS (or DIMMS) for? Is it necessary to add additional Memory? What a cool piece of equipment. It'll really make my life with Kontakt inside on Sonar alot easier. The drag on my CPU has been noticeable despite my 3 GB of RAM.

At this time, you can't put more than 2 GB of RAM into the Receptor. The only explanation for additional slots would likely be for a different quantity???
i.e. 4 X 50GB

I'm really not sure.
