Highly unlikely after Squids' last comment. Warm, expensive piece of gear?

Unless he's talking about the fairlight computer, I highly doubt its the tank. Plus, he said "much needed update". TRacks hasnt been updated in years. ST just had a 2.5 update.


However, I find it hard to believe that TRacks would pump money into IK. I'd imagine ST3 would get a LOT of attention and money, but TRacks, no, in my opinion ofcourse.

This is not to say TRacks is bad or anything. I have it, love it to death, and use it on everything. Its less of a wanted item than sampletank.

It's going to be amplitube 3. It's going to have a phase 90, it's going to have a budda, a badcat, a space echo and some other goodies we'll drool over.

Look, I understand that you guys WANT it to be SampleTank. You'll find out in a matter of hours if it is. If it isn't then at least that message got across to IK that you'd WANT it to be. But saying you'd be disappointed if it was ANY of the three without seeing what the update actually is... that's just plain silly IMO. Any of those three powerful and useful plug-ins in a new version that's been a long time coming would be exciting. As long as the new udpated plug-in had some cool new features worth upgrading to! Do you think IK would make a new version number without that? Have they ever? I am not talking about .5 free updates I am talking about going from a 1 to a 2 (ie. AT1 to AT2? ST1 to ST2?)... so if it is going to a 3 it means some new IK modeled effects are involved... and that's never disappointed me. I rely HEAVILY on that in my virtual studio. Don't know about you. But hundreds of thousands of others also rely on companies like IK to bring them high quality, highly musical plug-ins that are affordable (less expensive than the high end competition) and also don't happen to require hardware keys/dongles or PCI cards.

But, anyway... let's try to enjoy this. No whining please!
