>>> thanks Liqih.... glad you like that idea... I was quite serious about it... as I don't think many people have any clue about how much work and care you guys put in to make great instruments.
>>> Ford, well tried it again just as you suggest and still don't hear any clicking when the loop point cycles... however with max volumne and the sine [I assume we are talking the 73 here?] running on all 3 channels with volume max'd out.... what I do hear at the loop point is something that could maybe be better.... I hear a sort of very soft 'breathing' like what a bad compressor might do, each time the loop cycles.... and I also hear quite a variance in the 'vibrato-ness' of the loop section... In other words, as one lets the loop just run and run, I hear the sort of vibrato cycle repeat and since the cycles in the vibrato changes as the loop runs and then the loop starts again... it IS a little disturbing... it would be better to hear it just steady on when holding the note.
but no clicks that I can hear..... M-Audio Studiophile BX5 monitors and M-Audio Delta 1010 card on this test.... running EVE in Chainer 1.03
WinXP installed in Standard PC mode to avoid any irq conflicts with vid cards, etc..... so it's a pretty clean signal path....
Can you say more about what you are finding Ford??? of maybe make a preset of it so others can try that???

I guess you could call it a "breathing"...That's why I said tick instead of click, but words aren't accurate for this...I have to leave now for work, but as soon as I get home I'll isolate a couple of examples for you...

Guys, we just uploaded a DRAFT version of the manual we are working on. This is the first version of the manual. But we would like if some of you could check it out and give ideas on what else we should include there.

Hi William.
I took a brief look at the manual. It needs a lot of work, English-wise that is. I can make the necessary corrections. Where would you like me to send it once I finish editing it?

Ok, sent you the manual. I think I pretty much got all the spelling errors and grammatical issues. I killed off a few lines here and there as it was redundant, and didn't need to repeat, over and over, endlessly, errr...
Just teasin' ya. Overall, it was pretty good. I see you did strip it from Knagalis though, as that's the Title of the web browser when you pull up the window.
I fixed that as well. I'll just wait for your final version and fix the other 'little' issues.

Dummy? Nah. Speaking is easy. Writing is a whole new ballgame, and I see enough people struggle with it. Also depends on how much you care too. I know plenty of people who just don't give a rip.max wrote:nice going Devon.... I'll wait then and get a look at your english edits... seeing as how I only can read english [dummy, huh?]... maybe I can add a few slang terms....

I've tried an INIT with the sine wave, I've tried taking the presets we got now, and getting it only to play one 'oscillator', and hitting C6 and C7 on the keyboard, and it's sounds very pure to me, no clicks, ticks, nothing, just sinewave goodness. Maybe it's your soundcard? What card do you got? I have a Pulsar II. Tell me EXACTLY how you're setting it up, as I'd like to hear what you're talking about.Ford Prefect wrote:I still get some noise on upper registers...it's semi-tolerable...but even the "pure sine" waveform has a slight tick as it loops from about middle C on up that I have to adjust settings to deal with...Otherwise she's fantastic and I like the new sounds...On the noise I may just be overly picky, but I just want to know if anyone else hears it...I'll fiddle with her some more after work tonight...

I even recorded 20 seconds, bounced it down to audio, and looked at it in Sound Forge. I see no glitches whatsoever, just sine wave goodness.... but I am starting to feel sea sick.... going uppppp... and dowwwwwnnnn.....

Yes, I just uploaded DevonB edit. Thanxs Devon.
Only one small problem, he used MS-Word, so it messed a bit the HTML design, I will fix that.

Devon, Max and Ford, could you tell me gain your computer SPECS? Specially the Processor type, maybe there is something related to Processor type x Loop point...
