The lead guitar and background chordal guitar are both CoreGuitar. The bass is CoreBass: Cherry Picked.

And I haven't forgotten the free CoreBass loop library, either. I'm making progress on that as well.
Ye gods, man, how did you script those pick articulation differences? Is that solely a response to velocity, or are you using the mod wheel? I mean, I can hear you changing the angle of your picking attack on some of those runs, not moving closer to or further from the heel of the neck but actually changing the slant of your picking hand relative to the plane of the guitar body. I don't think I've ever heard those kinds of finesse touches in a guitar multisampler before.

A lot of scripting. :P

Things that affect pick articulations include velocity and average speed of playing as well as whether it's an upstroke/downstroke.

Although I've been having fun playing leads with it, I've got some great sounds for funk/reggae rhythm guitar playing, too.

Just proof-reading the manual and sorting out other finishing touches to the product.

Some funk I was messing around with: http://www.orangetreesamples.com/audio/ ... -demo4.mp3

All guitars are CoreGuitar Strawberry.

sounds awesome as usual....
the vibrato sounds very realistic.
the muted notes really add some humanity to the samples (is that scripting?)

will it be ready for the weekend?? :hyper:

The vibrato is scripted, though there's some cool samples to back it up. I'll have to post a sound sample, because when the scripted vibrato note decays, you can hear the finger moving on the texture of the fretboard, and if the vibrato is wide enough, tapping against the adjacent string.

The muting isn't scripted, though I sampled three degrees of mutedness. It plays very well on the keyboard.

That's what I'm aiming for, let's see if I can do this!

Holy HELL, man! That's incredible...WOW...

It's really exciting to be around for this groundbreaking stuff you're churning out; a real honour! You're really pushing the envelope of reality here. :hail:

Ok, this is getting really close to being able to do a fair David Gilmour impression. I'd be interested to see you play the solo from Another Brick In The Wall Pt. 2 with this, see how close this VST can get...

1st, DAMN U Greggggg :))
Let me tell u my sad story with bass samples/vst's. I have literally bought about every one available and tried the two I don't from a friends studio. I always end up loving something about all of them, but not being completely happy with any of them. I have learned BIGTIME to NOT go by the sounds solo'd but within a mix. Example "for me" is Scarbee. I LOVE the playability of the script, and like to play around with it by itself. But with the style of music I do "modern pop/rock" it always sounds a bit muddy. And by the time I get the correct eq/amp sim/compression etcc etcc., I have blown way too much time on trying to get the correct sound, I could have wrote another song!! Also I have learned to not go by the price. The bass I have always gone back to is Manybass. To me there is something about the tone that just cuts through a mix without doing much at all to the eq etc. What it lacked was some of what I like about other samples/scripts that make them sound more realistic. So anyway, I just happened to catch this post and thought what the heck. I just purchased it today. One major thing is the pick version which is very important to me. So I installed and instead of playing it by itself, I loaded up Superior 2.0., layed a guitar track down and then added a bass track. This is " THE BEST" I have heard to date. Again cuts through the mix and sounds very realistic.I have not had any time to really dig in, but I really don't need to. So enough, I am a HUGE Manybass fan. This is a step above and I am sure if there is a next Manybass I will purchase it as well. This is for anybody who is struggling with what to buy.. I hope it helps and does not HURT :)))))))))) GREAT job Greg.. U ROCK!!!!!!

Thanks!! You made my day!

Okay, I'm just fixing a few things in the manual and then I can begin uploading the finished product. Then I have to get the product page ready and the release posts.

Great news, Greg!

Incidentally, is there any possibility of you putting together a sample set of the Cherry Bass with flatwound strings? Like Scarbee's Black Bass, only...better?

So basically the same bass, same everything else, apart from having flatwound strings instead of roundwound? I could do that, it'd be a fun project.

What's on the list for instruments to sample next (from the poll I took a while ago) is an upright bass, hollowbody jazz guitar, and a Jaco fretless bass (I'd get the replica of Jaco's bass of doom to sample). That's just the top three from the poll.

We're in luck since there are two fretless instruments, since I've just made a script that allows you to seamlessly slide between any two notes in a fretless manner. In DFD mode in Kontakt, too. :)

Uploading CoreGuitar: Strawberry right now. Anybody want to look at the manual while you're waiting?

Ofcourse(!), I definitely love to know what Strawberry can do.

And I hope I could get this stuff.
