That xhip skin is just an undifferentiated mess of knobs, kind of like Oatmeal. Still, it is a massive step up from what is currently available for it.

I like the kjaerhus gui's - nice and simple but really classy imo

also the naive LPF has a really nice slightly animated gui. Classy again

Sorry, don't get the point of a perspective view of the GUI. Some other developpers also followed that path and IMO it only helps to screw up how readable the GUI is. On the other side, fortunatelly Kjaerhus dropped the older "perspetive view" versions of the classic plugins a long ago.
Eventually something intelligent will appear written here. Watch this space.

It's not what you use, it's how you use it...

fair point indeed.

The main thing i like about this gui is the smoothly animated stages lever. Which may be a bit gimmicky but seems very well executed. In my opinion the plugin is simple enough to get away with the perspective view without compromising readability.

For how much a VCS3 goes for these days, you're sinking the whole fleet!

Monolisa and Daedalus are still in the database but every single link seems to be dead :( I think I have some skins in my other computer (Triangle I and II, Pentagon I) but no trace of it on the internet. IMO he made some of the best GUIS ever.
I was actually going to post a picture of Daedalus earlier in this thread, but couldn't find a screenshot because all of the nbeat links were dead. Too bad, good dev with promising stuff.

funny thing is the thing i remember the most (probably unfairly) of daedalus is it's GUI.

Seems fair enough. It's GUI was the only thing that really set it apart. I don't remember being particularly impressed by the features or sound.

sorry, but I just think this (and all the others too) look soooooo goooood..........
Just absolutley beautiful. Perfectly funtional, not a drab old/reschooled interpretation of '70's hardware, the controls are flawless. My fav of the favs, as far as GUIs go. I doint own it, nor have used it, so I cant compliment on usage, though I do have Bittersweet II, and even though its limited on usage, its beautiful too.
Why cry about your own desires, when I could have them and leave you standing in the sadness of your own....

That's funny, I was just playing with Monolisa and Daedalus for the first time in ages. Was wondering if they had any updates. Guess not.

How bout hosts? Favorites: Ableton Live, and the Mixer View of Sonar 7/8.

Least favorite? The TRACK view of Sonar 7/8. :)

Honorable mention: Aside from the size limitations: Reason 4. (Yes, I said it.)
