To get this clear in MutLAB
- a insert effect : take a rAck and assign a VSTI or buildin instrument and assign a vst or inbuild effect in a another rack slot
Result a sound with a insert effect
- a send effect ..on two ways : as a master effect( for all tracks)or a effect for number of tracks between one and all tracks (example: say 10 tracks total : you will have a send effect on 3 tracks )
How to this in MULAB?
A master send effect for all tracks: assign a effect in the master rack
Make a new send effect rack say for 3 tracks and assign a effect to the rack.
Now for get this you must go to the modular plug in area ( menu edit) and assign the output of the send effect rack ( for 3 tracks) to the audio input of the 3 tracks
It is better to use a partial send effect than use here 3 insert effects, because that consumes a lot of processor power i think
If it works to make a separate partial send effectrack in MU lab ?

This info must be written in the manual ?

You can insert a send just like you insert anything else in a rack -- if you've managed to insert an effect, just one line down and you see "Sends". In MU.LAB (what is "MutLAB"?), a send always sends to another rack. If you look at the demo project, you will see the Bass, KraftLine and Cymbal racks have sends to the Echo rack, which outputs to the MASTER rack. And there's nothing to stop you having more than one send in a rack.

Yes, in the demo project is it now clear for me how to use the insert en send effects and with the mouse cursor on the slots shows me what rack has a send effect.
For the automation of the echo on the bass is handy to see this also on the rack itself, but the name is also written on the automation track for the bass : echobass
Maybe also give the cutoff filter automation track a name of the kraftline sound (synthia synth)?
There are 7 slots in a rack and use the upper two for a layersound
Well if you have more advanced ideas to work with MU.LAB..than i am interested !

Only the first (occupied) slot generally works as an instrument. If you want anything more complex, you use a MUX ("MUX" is short for "MUltipleXor") -- it lets you treat its content as a single slot entry.janamdo wrote:There are 7 slots in a rack and use the upper two for a layersound
