From the RM5 manual....
Yeah especially with an instrument like Saxlab2!That's no problem if you're only using preset sounds but you can get much more out of the sounds if you modulate while you're playing... Believe me, much more fun..

Very cool. I will try to see if I can understand this in practical terms.Lotuzia wrote:Yep when the modulation matrix is not so extensible, you can come short on modulations slots when designing presets. And thats when it becomes interesting to get a clear comprehension of systems like Ecs or host automation. Ecs is cool becauise you wont have to rechoose all midi cc/parameters routing with each patch in your host.
Saves a lot of time.
And like Frank stated it above, is one of the keys to more expressivness.
What is really interesting in Saxlab is that you can change the value of the LFO matrix modulation itself (ie modulate the modulation, for example change the speed of LFO for the vibrato)

ECS works fine in Sonar 7 btw. Problem is that I cannot find the LFO matrix modulation in Saxlab 2 to try what you are suggesting. What is really interesting in Saxlab is that you can change the value of the LFO matrix modulation itself (ie modulate the modulation, for example change the speed of LFO for the vibrato)
