I've been looking for hosts with MIDI preview - You could go into the Import MIDI File box and, when you clicked
on a clip, the pattern would be played by the selected VSTi. Maybe there could even be a separate window in the main view where you could just scroll down the MIDI files in a folder and hear them play, maybe while you've got a composition going at the same time. You could set the preview to wait til the start of the next measure or just play right when you click. Any opinions?
Is there a FR thread for MU.LAB 2? Cuz if so...

I agree that would be a very nice feature.
Ideally with preview options to transpose the previewed sequence so it matches the track you're working on.
It's on the whishlist.

I think Ableton Live has a midi preview but you can't send it to a proper instruments, just som e default sine tone. I'm not really sure about this though as I only used the demo from time to time.... I really think that it would be useful. I still use the wav preview in Muzys quite a bit.

Just to avoid confusion:
MU.LAB does preview audio files.
But not yet MIDI files; That's on the whishlist.
