I'm trying the Stream Boy 5 demo and if I go over about 20 instances in Ableton Live 7, Plogue Bidule VST or both together I instantly crash to desktop.
I am also sometimes getting the 'V_free: (12) Cannot free non existant vector' error.

Hi,
Sorry for the delay in response. I checked and see that the number of allowed instances of Stream Boy is hardcoded to a maximum of 20. No real reason why I chose this number except that I didn't expect anyone would use more than 20 instances simultaneously. I'll see what I can do for the next update.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Sorry for my delayed response too...
My reasoning for wanting so many instances open at once is that I would like to be able to tap as an insert into any given Live channel and stream the audio to any one of three complex vst fx layouts I use in bidule in return channels in Live.Also this would mean thanks to Bidule's flexible routing that I could separately process any several audio channels in parallel through the (multi)fx rack of only one return channel....cool!
Another way to be able to reduce the number of instances I would need to run and maximize the flexibility of what I am trying to do would be if it were possible to automate (ie:parameter to host) the TX and RX selectors of each instance...just a thought
