I can relate to that. I play a cheap Yamaha RBX250 Bass for more than 15 years now. The PU is replaced by a DiMarzio Split-P, The Bridge is a massive one from Gotoh and it's even got a GK MidiPickup installed. I often considered buying another bass but I ended up thinking 'why?'. It's got a very solid rock tone (I used to play indie/alternative), it never detunes (even over weeks), no dead spots, and is well-crafted. I'm sort of a Yamaha fanboy ever since (which also applies to synths; although I'm not keen on motorbikesSascha Franck wrote:And seriously, most likely they would NEVER use such a guitar indeed. Yet, it's absolutely fantastic. It's got the best neck I've ever had in my hands (and believe me, I owned QUITE some guitars during the last 2.5 decades), a super fine wood resonance and just a great overall feel - in fact, it's so nice that I replaced both PUs, added a third one (I'll post the details when it comes back from my favourite luthier in 1-2 days), including the woodwork, a new handmade pickguard, new Sperzel Trimlocks and what not. After all, I'm spending around 500 bucks for a cheap far east clone-ish guitar. Said colleages call me completely nuts. I think they're nuts because instead of buying great stuff they're buying names.

Ah well, my Scooter is a Honda, too (24 years old, killer cheesy 80s look, 125cc, needs a motorbike license, overall cost for tax and insurance per year: 26 Euros!!! Can't beat that...).sascha wrote:although I'm not keen on motorbikes).

I am proud to announce you that the installers for TH1 are available for download here...
http://www.overloud.com/en/download/
we're setting up the rest of the website to reflect the news: new TH1 pages, audio demos, webstore... it'll take a while.
Launch offer to buy the download from the website is:
209 Eur (+ VAT where applicable)
offer expires on Nov 30th, 2008
This is 16% off MSRP price (249 Eur).
This price is very good for US residents also, since the current TH1 MSRP is 349 USD and the current offer translates to about 265 USD at the current exchange rates.
US MAP price for TH1 in the US should be 379 USD once it reaches the stores.
TH1 works in demo mode (without ANY authorization) for 14 days.
TH1 will be available at your local store ASAP.
We started shipments today.
Best,
Simone

My first impression:
Best ampsim so far. Don't like the GUI that much, but the sound for both clean and higain amps is the best I've heard on software this far. Also the pedals are surprisingly high quality when compared to Amplitube. Doesn't mean I'll be selling my real amp but this does beat Amplitube and Guitar Rig in tone easily.

isn't that just the regular breverb price plus the special th-1 price?
I mean a bundle launch price..
I am really loving this plug in...more than amplitube2/line 6 and gr3.... it is the only one that reminds me how I use to just want to sit and play back in the days when I actually owned amps and was jamming in my loft during college days.

nope. Breverb is 299 Euro (and in US at audiomidi is 369 USD which isn't much less than that), and special TH1 is 209 euro so this would be 40 euro off the total. Not bad, but I'd go for less if offered of course

Then I'd say we're not likely to see better here, unfortunately but I'm open for them accepting the challengezvenx wrote:sweetwater has breverb for $279.

Breverb is 279 USD at Audiomidi.com
Special price.
http://www.audiomidi.com/Breverb---Reve ... 10115.aspx
So, if you get TH1 from us and Breverb at Audiomidi.com (or somewhere else, that price should be available everywhere in the US) it makes the deal break at:
279 + 262 USD (today's rate) = 541 USD
pretty good deal IMHO.
In Europe, for example, Time and Space has a very good pricing for Breverb...
