Hey,
Love the synth but would love a vintage patch set for Sylenth1?
Do they exist?
Cheers

What kind of vintage patches did you have in mind exactly? Do you have some examples?
Also, have you checked out Ingonator's brass patches?

Thanks for the reply Lennard.
What I am talking about is blade runner type analogue sounding patches. Arp, Moog, CS80, Jupiter etc. Pads, strings and leads.
I am tweaking some my self at the mo but my skills or synthesis knowledge is not the best.

Hello, szurcio wrote:I would love to have more vintage analog presets - to me, it's now too trancey/dancey/techno and I would like Sylenth to become a more versatile workhorse synth.
the new version 2.2 contains around 1200+ patches including some which were already published here at KVR. There are also some commercial soundbanks:
http://www.arksun-sound.com/products.html
http://www.maximumsounds.com/
http://www.vstsoundbanks.com/soundbanks.html#sylenth1
some patches on KVR:

If that's not enough: Try to make some own patches......
I guess i have all available soundbanks for Sylenth1. For example those banks (including the factory banks) include around 500+ lead sounds.
Since the AU version will be published now i hope that even more people will use Sylenth1 and publish patches for it.
Compared to some other softsynths there is already a huge amount of patches available.

I don't have this synth yet (well, I bought it but I can only use the Audio Unit version and I'm still waiting for Lennard's email to download it) so I'm in the dark about one thing - will the AU version load .FXB banks/.FXP patches or is it strictly .aupresets only?
Reason I ask is that I was looking for third-party banks and checked out the ones you quoted above. Only Arksun's web page mentions that his patches are Mac-compatible, but I was really blown away by the vstsoundbanks.com offerings and there's no platform info on their web page.
Kind regards.

When I was doing some patches for it I tried to see if I could get some Minimoog type sounds out of it. They are with the release patch banks for Sylenth 2 and onward under the Simon Foster soundbanks with 'Mog...' in the patch name. To be honest though, I used the 12db filter for the patches, not discovering until after that the minimoog used a 24db filter. So if they don't sound anything like your idea of a Minimoog then blame the patch designer & not the synth.

Many thanks for your response, Lennard. That's good news.Lennard wrote:Yes, it will load and save fxp and fxb format and is fully compatible with the VST version.Dave Bourke wrote:will the AU version load .FXB banks/.FXP patches or is it strictly .aupresets only?
I've just started auditioning this synth this morning and it's like a smack in the head. In a nice way, of course.
Kind regards.
