It would be nice to change the metric in the middle of a song, but I don't see how to do it with mulab.

Post

if you mean bpm right click on tempo and select "insert tempo change"... if you want to edit the tempo change list you can select "edit tempo change"

Post

Or maybe they mean from 4/4 to 7/16 or whatever.

Any way to (easily) scrub or filter out continuous controller data?

Usually called "thin continuous controller" function.

I currently use this a fair amount (on another sequencer) to filter aftertouch data, and with a new breath controller on the way, I expect even more of a need for this function.

No such function yet. But on the whishlist.

Yes, I mean to change the metric, i.e. changing from 4/4 in the verse to 7/4 in the chorus or 5/4 in the middle eight, that kind of things.

Is there any way to do so in Mulab? It was easy in Muzys, using the loop composer, but I don't find how to do it in Mulab. If it is not possible, please consider it for future versions.

Off topic: 2.X is amazing anyway.

more wish list for da'future:

as well as the overall 'load' indicator at the top it would be funky to have an indication of the cpu time being used by individual elements, perhaps tucked away on an 'alternative view' page. Would be handy in identifying heavy objects and working outways to streamline them?
.
also in the edit sequence window for controling parameters, it would be nice to have a curve generating tool with drag and drop pints on to get nice smooth event changes, rather than having to approximate with straight lines

When a plugin is focussed, you can monitor its individual CPU weight by clicking in the CPU Meter field, cfr http://www.mutools.com/mulab/docs/transport.html

Is it possible to use the qwerty keyboard to play an instrument? I'd like that very much.

Post

Not yet. But i think there are some plugins out there that do so.

You can download and install Bome's Mouse Keyboard, it requires Midi Yoke Junction.

some ideas from my background of fl studio user

- in the piano roll if you ctrl+click on a note in the piano key on the left it selects automatically all that notes in the piano roll

- possibility to use an automation curve to control different parameter & eventually in different way (e.g. you use the same linear curve to increase the cutoff and decrease the resonance)

- maybe it could be useful to have the possibility to refresh the list of the plugin coz the vst plugin manager keep in mind vst even if you delete them from your pc and if you like to install and test every freeware plug you find on the web it takes few time to became a mess

finally i think i found an incongruence, in fact if you delete the last project that was open on mulab when you restart the program it automatically open the demo file...

so, that's just my suggestion, hope it will be usefull, keep up with your great work!

You can right-click on the piano keyboard -> "Select All These Notes".

That's on the whishlist.
