Hi, I'm not a zebra user (yet. Probably going to take the plunge once zebrify is done) but I was wondering if there was a vector mixer module planned, or if there is a way to properly control one of the other mix modules with the XY pads to achieve the same effect.

A simple module that could do a 4 way crossfade would be awesome, especially if it had a way of recording your mouse movements to use as an envelope/lfo the same way the prophet VS does it with joystick movements...

The only synth I can find that can do such a thing at the moment is arturia's prophet V, but I'm trying to stay dongle-free as I'm on a laptop and usb ports are at a premium.

Hi,

I like XY-controls for live user tweaking, but I'm not a big fan of XY envelopes. As the axises stay independent while the control points share the same time control, why not just use 2 separate envelopes and have independent control of time as well?

maybe just a 4 input mixer module that we can assign any modulator we want to the X and Y axis (including the X-Y pads) then? Still no recording of the X-Y movements (at least not in a way that would make them per voice or note triggered. Host automation would still exist though) but it would work for live tweaking since the other thread seemed to run into issues involving trying to maintain volume while crossfading between 4 sources with the X-Y pad as is.

Even a crossfade module could do it using this arrangement...

Crossfade A between 1 and 2
Crossfade B between 3 and 4

Both going into Crossfade C between the two Crossfades...

Then you could link the X axis of a pad to crossfade A and B, then the Y axis to crossfade C, no?

See the link that I posted, someone helped make a patch that hacks together 2 mixers to do this!
